We collect insights using traditional research methods, whether through usability testing or playtests, to guide our developers in making data-driven decisions. Our Data, User Research, and Design teams work closely to interpret player behaviours and conduct extended research in collaboration with local universities.\nAs a Principal User Researcher, you will be the craft expert who leads research efforts, mentor teammates, & support design. You will also align user research activities across the studio, driving player-centric game development.\nThis is a fixed-term position, with the possibility of extension depending on business needs.\nResponsibilities\nDesign & execute studies using experimental design and research methodology.\n\nActively share knowledge and maintain key stakeholder relationships via workshops, reports, and presentations\n\nDevelop, promote, and ensure good user research practices.\n\nGuide game teams in planning user research strategies for the lifecycle of their games.\n\nSupport teams via expert reviews, UX writing, and industry knowledge to guide decision making\n\nPromote collaboration between Data, UX, Design, and Marketing teams.\n\nProvide consultative support and guidance to senior stakeholders.\n\nMentor and upskill User Researchers in all areas of the craft.\n\nRequirements\n8+ years of experience in user research\n\nExperience in mentoring or leading teams.\n\nBachelor's degree or higher in experimental/social/cognitive psychology, human-computer interaction, or equivalent industry experience.\n\nExcellent written and verbal communication skills.\n\nExtensive experience with user interviews, surveys, moderating research sessions, and usability tests.\n\nPassion for video games is beneficial, and experience in game development or the entertainment industry is desirable.\n\nStrong analytical skills with a background or coursework in descriptive and inferential statistics.\n\nBonus points\nExperience with shooter or live service games.\n\nExperience in UX design or UX writing\n\nWho we are\nSharkmob is a Swedish game developer founded in 2017.
