If you believe the best way to do your job hasn’t been invented yet, you’ll fit right in.\nThe Senior Product Safety & Compliance Engineer will have a direct partnership with our global product developers and certification partners for all aspects of regulatory compliance and product certification. The candidate will be responsible for leading multiple certification projects from product concept to mass production, ensuring that all market access requirements are met and that product designs employees appropriate risk mitigation solutions.\nHere are some of the EXCITING things you’ll get to do:\nAssist in owning the execution of certification activities and risk analysis for multiple new product development projects.\nEstablish project needs and deliverables for both our product development teams and third-party regulatory partners.\nContinuously evaluate project risk during the development process and establish contingency plans to overcomes obstacles.\nLead weekly reviews for all assigned projects, present the status and associated project risks.\nAssure that all activities related to product certification commence and execute as planned and on schedule.\nSupport the product development teams as a subject matter expert, providing counsel on requirements and regulations.\nAssist in leading intradepartmental continuous improvement and special projects.\nProvide leadership and mentoring to junior team members.\nATTRIBUTES & SKILLS:\nBachelor’s degree in electrical or mechanical Engineering or similar technical discipline.\nMinimum of 5+ years of compliance or design related experience of consumer or commercial electromechanical products preferred.\nStrong knowledge of regulatory standards and/or governmental regulations.\nExperience with participating in DFMEA sessions preferred.\nMust be able to:\nOperate comfortably in a fast-paced environment with regularly shifting priorities.\nThrive under pressure and want to be continuously challenged.\nManage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining continuous track of key details.\nMulti-task, maintaining a continuous comprehensive understanding of project status.\nPresent creative and technically sound solutions to complex problems. \nLike to “solve the puzzles” and deliver on challenging assignments.\nAnalyze operations and promote continuous improvement initiatives.\nWork with conviction and demonstrate strength on key positions yet be able to collaborate and compromise where appropriate.\nWork and think independently with moderate supervision and generate ideas within their area of expertise.\nMake sound decisions utilizing all available information.\nCommunicate complex technical information to audiences with varying technical understanding.\nAdapt well to change.\nPresent at a high level to all levels within the organization, demonstrating comfort and confidence in collaborating with colleagues and superiors.\nDesire ownership and possess a “want to take the last shot of the game” mentality.\nSalary and Other Compensation: The annual salary range for this position is displayed below.
