Performs and inspects all work in accordance with established safety procedures and in compliance with the requirements of local building, safety, and electrical codes.\nResponsibilities\nInstall, examine, replace, or repair electrical wiring, receptacle, switch boxes, conduits, feeder, fiber-optic and coaxial cable assembles, lighting fixtures and other electrical components.\nInstall and troubleshoot mechanical components including fasteners, power belting, pulleys, chain drives, shafting, dynamic shaft seals, sliding, ball, and roller bearings, lubricants, couplings, clutches, gear drives, speed reducers, and conveyor drive systems.\nEnsures operation of machinery and mechanical equipment by coordinating preventive maintenance requirements on engines, motors, pneumatic tools, conveyor systems, and production machines; following diagrams, sketches, operations manuals, manufacturer's instructions, and engineering specifications; troubleshooting malfunctions.\nInspect, maintain, repair, install and test switchgear, transformers, switchboard meters, regulators, and reactors.\nExamine and test electrical and electronic equipment and components for continuity, current, voltage and resistance.\nWork with blueprints/diagrams to accurately determine location of equipment and conformance of safety codes.\nAdhere to safety and other standards set out by local authorities, Sharp (SMCA) and OSHA including but not limited to LOTO protocol and SDS standards.\nOther duties as assigned.\nQualifications\nApplicants should be a licensed Journeyman Electrician with 5 years of experience in installation, operations, and maintenance of electrical systems including PLC and PC based control systems.\nApplicant should have experience working in an industrial setting which requires a comprehensive preventive maintenance program for engines, motors, pneumatic tools, conveyor systems, and production machines.\nPhysical Requirements\nMust be able to lift heavy parts or equipment up to 75 lbs on a regular basis.\nAble to climb and work from ladders, scaffolds, and aerial lifts safely.\nAble to move furniture, desks, and equipment.\nJob requires frequent standing, walking, bending, crouching, kneeling, and crawling into tight spaces.\nMust be able to differentiate between wire colors for safe wiring connections.\nA majority of the work is done indoors; however, there may be other duties as assigned which require being outdoors to complete.\nAbout Sharp Manufacturing Company of America \nSMCA is the U.S. manufacturing facility for SHCA, the U.S. Consumer Products Group of Sharp Electronics Corporation, the U.S. sales subsidiary of Sharp Corporation, a worldwide developer and manufacturer of one-of-a-kind premium technology products, who was recently honored as one of Fortune’s Most Admired Companies for 2024.
