The Logistics Supervisor may alternatively be responsible for the total logistical operation of a single location within a larger branch operation and/or assisting logistics management in coordinating all branch or regional logistics operations. This internal- and external-customer service-focused position often supports purchasing, inventory transfers, inventory control maintenance, and report generation in our system. The range of duties can also include communication on backorders and material ETAs to stakeholders, completion and filing of official documentation, training for them and other teams and branches, and cleanliness and upkeep of the warehouse environment.\n Responsibilities \n Supervises a staff of logistics operations employees\nAssists in the timely and accurate purchasing and receiving of equipment, parts, and supplies\nOversees inventory control, including cycle counts, physical inventories, and fixed assets\nEnsures timely updates and communication of job orders to internal and external clients\nOversees and helps schedule coverage for all warehouse, set-up, and delivery operations\nProvides input in inventory management, coordination, and preparation to the team and branch/region management\nAssists and maintains reporting requirements as needed per management, such as order workflow statuses, open goods receipts, delivery due list, and the inventory count schedule\nMeasures and maintains high internal and external customer service experience levels\nMaintains vendor and material updates following policy and communicates to the master data team\nAssist in facility maintenance and coordination of all necessary branch office repairs\nEnsures proper tracking and recording of returned/damaged goods for credit\nLeads and motivates the warehouse operations team, including training and coaching\nCross-trains with logistics managers to backfill or to support overflow coverage in other areas\nMaintain standard operating procedures for logistics following company policies and best practices\nAssists with deliveries and in the field with installs and related equipment movements as needed\nAssists with daily trash and recycling management\nOther duties or projects as assigned\nPOSITION SPECIFICATIONS\nCollege degree preferred, but a High School diploma or equivalent education is needed\nAt least five to seven (5-7) years of previous warehouse experience\nAt least three to five (3-5) years of previous experience as part of the supply chain operation for a distribution center or similar experience\nStrong leadership skills with previous supervisory experience preferred\nExperience with material replenishment logic\nExperience with training others on how to safely use warehouse equipment strongly preferred\nSAP experience is a strong plus\nProficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc. skills preferred\nExcellent decision-making, including the ability to work independently with minimal supervision\nThe individual should be physically fit and be able to lift objects weighing up to 50 pounds on occasion, as well as walk and remain standing for long periods of time\nStrong interpersonal-oral and verbal-communication skills\nProven knowledge of meeting OSHA regulations and incorporating in the warehouse management\nSolid knowledge of proper methods of stacking, storing, lifting and loading parts and supplies\nValid driver’s license and clean record\nAbility to drive a 15-foot box truck\nAbility to possess forklift certification and ability to train other team members\nProficiency with computers, as you will be expected to use our SAP system to properly manage inventory and transact system movements, along with managing certain reports in the system\nFamiliarity with warehouse equipment, including hand trucks, pallet jacks, and lift gates, as well as RF barcode-scanning devices for inventory management\nAbility to travel to the satellite office and occasionally stay overnight\nAbout Sharp Business Systems\nSharp Business Systems (SBS) is a direct sales division of Sharp Electronics Corporation, the U.S. based subsidiary of Japan's Sharp Corporation.
