You’ll take a hands-on approach to resolving operational challenges, maintaining standards and identifying opportunities for improvement.\nThis is an opportunity for someone with experience supervising operational teams who enjoys a busy environment, takes pride in getting things right and is keen to develop their knowledge of plant management.\nThis is a full time role: Monday - Friday, 10am - 8pm.\nWhat you will do\nCoordinate Team Leaders and production colleagues to meet daily operational requirements.\n\nEnsure colleagues follow work instructions, policies and procedures to maintain high standards of safety, quality and service.\n\nOversee checks on incoming materials to ensure they meet acceptance requirements, with accurate documentation and any issues recorded and escalated appropriately.\n\nSupport daily operational reporting, highlighting performance, challenges and areas for improvement.\n\nIdentify operational inefficiencies and help implement practical improvements.\n\nWork with the Stock Controller to support stock accuracy and carry out inventory checks as required.\n\nSupport operational projects and improvement initiatives as directed by site management.\n\nMaintain clear and effective communication across shifts, teams and departments.\n\nMake effective use of people, equipment and resources to meet daily priorities.\n\nPromote safe working practices and ensure compliance with health and safety procedures.\n\nDevelop an understanding of key plant management activities and reporting requirements to provide cover for the Plant Manager when needed.\n\nMonitor team performance and raise any concerns with the Plant Manager.\n\nWhat we’re looking for\nEssential\nExperience supervising or leading teams in a plant, production, manufacturing, waste management or similar operational environment.\n\nThe ability to organise workloads, allocate resources and adapt to changing priorities.\n\nA strong focus on health and safety, compliance and following operational procedures.\n\nA practical approach to problem-solving, with the confidence to identify issues and suggest improvements.\n\nClear communication skills and the ability to work effectively with colleagues across different teams.\n\nGood attention to detail, particularly when checking documentation, recording information and preparing reports.\n\nConfidence using IT systems to maintain records, report performance and communicate with colleagues.\n\nA hands-on, accountable approach and a willingness to develop the knowledge needed to support the Plant Manager.\n\nDesirable\nExperience within waste management or a regulated operational environment.\n\nFamiliarity with waste acceptance checks, hazardous waste documentation and non-conformance reporting.\n\nExperience using operational performance data to identify improvements.\n\nExperience supporting stock control, inventory checks or operational projects.\n\nWhat we are
