As the system becomes embedded, you will have the opportunity to develop into a key subject matter expert, helping shape how the platform is used across our network and supporting its ongoing success.\nYou do not need to come from a transport background. We are looking for someone who is naturally curious, enjoys working with systems and data, and takes a proactive approach to problem-solving and continuous improvement.\nWorking closely with colleagues across multiple sites, you will help ensure our systems, processes and operational information remain accurate, effective and aligned to business needs.\nThe role offers a blend of home working, site visits and stakeholder collaboration, with regular travel to operational locations across our national network. This provides a great opportunity to gain first-hand insight into our operations while building relationships across the business.\nWhat will you be doing?\nLearning and using planning, scheduling and operational systems to support day-to-day, short-term and forward planning activities.\nMaintaining accurate data across customers, locations, assets, resources and operational plans to ensure system integrity and effective decision-making.\nUsing Excel, data files and established processes to validate information, investigate discrepancies and support reliable reporting and system updates.\nAnalysing operational data to identify trends, exceptions and opportunities for improved efficiency and performance.\nDeveloping and reviewing practical plans that balance customer requirements, resource availability, operational constraints and cost considerations.\nComparing planned versus actual performance using key metrics to support continuous improvement and more effective future planning.\nWorking closely with operational teams and stakeholders to understand business processes and ensure systems accurately reflect real-world requirements.\nTravelling to sites and business locations as required to observe operations, validate data, support users and promote consistent processes and best practice.\nIdentifying opportunities to improve productivity, reduce waste, optimise resource utilisation and enhance service performance.\nSupporting system development, testing, process improvements and user adoption activities in collaboration with operational teams, IT and external partners.\nEnsuring all plans, processes and activities comply with relevant legal, safety and company requirements, escalating risks when appropriate.\nProducing reports, insights and recommendations that support data-driven decision-making and business performance improvements.\nWhat are we looking for?\nWe're looking for someone who is curious, analytical and eager to learn.
