Be knowledgeable in programming and troubleshooting of all electrical equipment including, but not limited to, PLCs, inverters, and single loop controllers throughout the plant. Provide training and guidance to Technician-Electricians and Mechanics.\nJob Description\nResponsibilities\nReceive project assignments from supervisor and respond to trouble calls from production and other departments.\nProvide technical guidance and training to all plant technician-electricians.\nPerform preventive maintenance on equipment.\nOversee all electrical projects in the plant.\nAssist manufacturing on downtime if necessary.\nAssist manufacturing with clean up if necessary.\nComplete assignments in a timely fashion.\nReport to management any quality and safety problems and potential production problems that are encountered while performing the job.\nPerform all job duties in a safe manner without bodily injury to self or others.\nPerform all related job duties and other responsibilities assigned by supervisor or department manager.\nLearn and use Ariba procurement system to order parts and supplies related to job needs.\nLearn and use EZ Entry/TPM system to set up and receive work instructions.\nRequirements\nSkills\nMust have verifiable experience.\nMust be able to interpret schematics, prints and oral instructions, set up and programming of complex PLC, inverter and other electrical applications, interpret electrical and mechanical situations to determine process failure, process need and process improvement.\nMust be able to use test equipment including, but not limited to, DMMs, amp meters, and Megger meters.\nMust be able to design, install, repair, replace and maintain motors, drives, controls, starters, lights, power, communication, PLC, and other related systems.\nMust be able to draw schematics and compile documentation for complex projects.\nMust have knowledge of computers, PLCs, HMI, inverters, and other electronics.\nMust be able to write and troubleshoot complex PLC programs.\nKnow the practices, methods, tools, materials and equipment of the electrician’s trade.\nKnow the hazards and safety precautions of all procedures.\nKnow how to diagnose and remedy maintenance problems.\nPreferred Skills\nPrevious verifiable industrial electrical experience.\nPrevious residential electrical experience.\nThe candidate chosen for this position may be hired at an interim job title and interim pay rate if all training and testing requirements for the position have not been successfully completed prior to hire.\nKey Competencies\nPLAN & ORGANIZE\nEffectively manage breakdown work based on the available resources (manpower, production priority, parts/materials, etc.).\nUse available resources to maximize department efficiency and minimize production downtime.\nStay informed. Monitor and measure the progress of each breakdown/call to stay on top of any issues and prevent distractions from interfering with timely completion of repairs and/or troubleshooting.\nEnsure daily work order completion and accuracy (parts used, labor hours, descriptions, etc.).\nBe proactive. If breakdown calls are light, assign and complete non-breakdown/PM work orders for any lines that have been scheduled down during your shift.\nCOMMUNICATE\nClearly communicate with production and maintenance supervisors during any and all breakdown work (estimated completion time, repair issues, etc.).\nCommunicate clearly with the team to ensure that your expectations are understood and that they have all the necessary information to complete work efficiently and correctly the first time.\nSeek team member input and listen to team member concerns and adjust priorities accordingly.\nMotivate the team by creating a positive work environment that promotes trust and open communication.\nDEMONSTRATE GOOD JUDGMENT AND DECISION MAKING\nMaintain a safe work environment at all times.\nGather and interpret relevant data to ensure that the team has performed adequate troubleshooting and root cause analysis before and during repairs.\nMake systematic and logical decisions based on root cause analysis, available resources, and production needs.\nCollaborate with others to identify and generate alternative solutions and ensure the buy-in of all parties involved.\nDRIVE RESULTS\nSet high goals and promote a standard of excellence through responsibility and accountability.\nTake prompt action to ensure goals are met.\nProvide encouragement and support to the team and
