The role aims to maximise equipment efficiency, minimise downtime and extend the lifespan of plant assets while ensuring compliance with safety, quality and operational standards.\nResponsibilities\n1. Plant Maintenance and Equipment Reliability\nPlan, implement, monitor and review maintenance schedules to ensure optimal plant performance.\nConduct preventive and condition-based maintenance of machinery and equipment in line with established procedures.\nDiagnose mechanical faults, troubleshoot equipment failures and implement appropriate corrective actions.\nMonitor machine performance and operational parameters, including pressure and temperature, to identify maintenance requirements.\nCoordinate maintenance activities to ensure efficient machine operations during shifts.\nInitiate requisitions for spare parts and ensure proper utilisation of tools, equipment and maintenance resources.\nIdentify opportunities for machinery modification, innovation and process improvement to enhance operational efficiency.\nConduct maintenance inspections of plant buildings, facilities and utilities, including generators and compressors.\nUndertake milling roll reconditioning activities, including grinding and fluting, where applicable.\nProvide technical support for machinery, buildings and facilities at other designated operational locations.\n2. Maintenance Administration and Reporting\nCoordinate daily maintenance activities and allocate tasks to relevant technical personnel.\nEnsure accurate and timely recording of maintenance activities, work performed and equipment inspections.\nReview machine performance data, maintenance records and job cards to support decision-making and performance tracking.\nPrepare maintenance reports and follow up on outstanding corrective actions.\nMonitor maintenance performance and recommend improvements to equipment reliability and operational efficiency.\n3. Safety, Quality and Continuous Improvement\nSupport the implementation of safety, health, environmental risk management and quality management initiatives.\nPromote compliance with good manufacturing practices and food safety management standards.\nIdentify and address quality, food safety and operational risks during routine maintenance activities.\nSupport continuous improvement initiatives aimed at reducing downtime, eliminating bottlenecks and improving productivity.\nApply structured problem-solving approaches, including the Plan-Do-Check-Act (PDCA) methodology, to resolve operational challenges.\nSupport the training and development of maintenance personnel and promote adherence to established operational standards.\n4.
