We are proud to be B Corp Certified.\nAbout the Role:\nThis is a rare opportunity to lead finance at one of Australia's growing retail brands. As Finance Manager, you'll sit at the heart of the business - owning financial reporting, driving commercial insight, and building the controls and processes that support our next phase of growth.\nReporting to the CFO, you'll lead the Finance Team and be a trusted partner to leaders across the business, applying your financial expertise where it counts and making your mark as the business scales.\nThis role suits someone who's just as comfortable rolling up their sleeves and getting into the detail as they are thinking big picture. You'll be hands-on in the day-to-day, whilst also driving the process and systems improvements that will set the business up for its next stage of growth. This is a role for someone who genuinely enjoys both the execution and the evolution.\nIf you're looking for a role where your expertise is genuinely valued, and where strong financial management and commercial thinking go hand in hand, this is it.\nWhat you’ll be doing:\nOwn the month-end close process and deliver accurate, timely monthly financial reporting, including P&L, balance sheet and management commentary\nMaintain the general ledger and oversee key balance sheet and control accounts, ensuring accuracy and appropriate accounting treatment\nOwn and continually improve the financial control environment as the business grows\nPartner with department leaders and the CFO, providing financial insight and commercial challenge to support decision-making\nLead monthly financial performance reviews, reporting on P&L, KPIs, budgets and variances\nOwn the annual budgeting process and drive ongoing forecasting, financial planning and scenario modelling\nLead year-end reporting and audit, and manage tax and compliance obligations (BAS, income tax, FBT, ASIC) across all group entities\nOversee cash flow forecasting, treasury management and the company's FX hedging programme\nOversee fortnightly payroll processing and ensure compliance with PAYG, payroll tax, superannuation and relevant awards\nManage supplier payments and relationships, and drive improvements to commercial terms\nLead financial analysis and modelling to support pricing, ROI and investment decisions\nOwn and optimise core finance systems, driving automation and process improvement\nLead and develop a high-performing Finance team\nAbout You:\nCA/CPA qualified or equivalent.\nDemonstrated experience as a Finance Manager, Senior Financial Accountant or in a similar commercial finance role. \nExperience in a retail, FMCG or consumer product business is highly regarded.\nExperience operating in a founder-led or high-growth SME environment, comfortable balancing hands-on execution with strategic input.\nStrong technical accounting knowledge and financial control capability.\nStrong commercial acumen with the ability to translate financial information into meaningful business insights.\nDemonstrated budgeting, forecasting and financial modelling capability.\nExperience payroll processing and compliance, including awards, superannuation and payroll tax.\nDemonstrated people leadership experience, with the ability to coach and develop a team.\nStrong systems capability, with experience using Xero highly regarded.\nExcellent stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to partner effectively across all levels of the business.\nStrong attention to detail, combined with the ability to understand and communicate the broader commercial picture.\nA proactive and continuous-improvement mindset. \nWhy You'll Love It Here:\nAt Sheet Society, it’s more than a workplace, it’s a community.
