the role\nMechanical Technicians execute preventative, corrective and breakdown maintenance across QGC Midstream mechanical equipment and systems.\nThe role supports safe, reliable and compliant operation of the LNG asset by completing high-quality maintenance, defect elimination, inspections, repairs, testing and equipment handovers in accordance with approved procedures, maintenance strategies and Control of Work requirements\nAccountabilities\nSafety, Health, Security, Environment & Process Safety\nWork safely in accordance with Shell HSSE expectations, Life Saving Rules, Control of Work, Permit to Work, isolation and job hazard analysis requirements. \nDemonstrate personal responsibility for safe work execution, intervention and stop-work authority.\nMaintain housekeeping, tooling, lifting equipment and worksite standards.\nContribute to safe preparation and execution of shutdowns, campaigns and major maintenance events. \nMechanical Maintenance Execution\nExecute preventive, corrective and predictive maintenance on mechanical equipment and systems. \nInspect, diagnose, repair, overhaul, test and return mechanical equipment to service in accordance with maintenance strategies, procedures and OEM requirements.\nSupport maintenance of pumps, compressors, valves, piping, pressure equipment, rotating equipment, static equipment, lifting equipment and associated mechanical systems as applicable to the asset. \nPerform fault-finding and troubleshooting to minimise equipment downtime and improve reliability. \n Support SCE, statutory and regulatory maintenance tasks as directed\nReliability, Quality and CMMS\nRecord as-found and as-left condition, failure information, work logs, materials usage and completion feedback in the CMMS. \nIdentify defects, recurring failures and improvement opportunities and escalate through appropriate maintenance and reliability processes. \nSupport defect elimination, bad actor reviews and continuous improvement activities. • Role model inclusive behaviours and contribute to a respectful team culture.\nEnsure quality repairs and effective equipment handovers to Operations\nTeamwork and Capability\nWork collaboratively with Operations, E&I, Engineering, Planning, Contractors and OEM representatives.\n Support apprentices, trainees and developing technicians through coaching and knowledge sharing. \n Maintain required QGC, site, trade and competency requirements.\nRole model inclusive behaviours and contribute to a respectful team culture.\nSkills and Experience\nMechanical trade qualification. \nExperience in industrial mechanical maintenance, preferably in LNG, oil and gas, petrochemical, utilities, mining, heavy industry or process plant environments. \n Competence in mechanical planned maintenance, breakdown response, troubleshooting and quality repair execution. \n Experience with Permit to Work systems, isolations, JHA/JSA and safe systems of work. \nAbility to use CMMS systems to record maintenance history and work completion information.\nExperience with rotating equipment, pressure systems, valves, compressors, pumps, flange management, lifting/rigging,
