Engagement at SMC with Production, MTAC, engineering disciplines as required to deliver projects. The individual will be responsible for safety, quality, cost, schedule and delivery of the agreed to scope work of each assigned project.\nWhat you’ll be doing\nAccountabilities:\nProject Engineer is responsible for managing projects using the Shell Project Management Framework \nLead all projects through the project definition, detailed design phase, execution phase to project close-out\nTypical activities include cost and schedule management, resource planning, contracting and procurement, detailed design review facilitation and developing the required team culture in support of achieving project goals\nAble to manage multi-discipline projects with a strong understanding and ability to interface with technical disciplines outside of his/her core competency\nAssess and effectively manage project and technical risk in conjunction with the Production Area Teams\nInterface with production and maintenance planning to plan and deliver a quality start-up in a brownfield setting, managing the Operations Readiness, Completions and C&SU aspects of the Project to Asset Transition phase\nInterface closely with EPC companies to complete project engineering requirements based on the phase of the project\nThe Project Engineer is responsible for safety, quality, costs, schedule and delivery of the agreed to scope of each project assigned to him/her\nRequired to be a rostered member of the sites Incident Command Team \nWhat you bring\nThe candidate must have legal authorization to work in Canada on a full-time basis\nP.Eng or must be eligible for accreditation with PEO in either a Professional Engineering or Professional Licensee capacity \n8 or more years of experience, preferably in project management or a combination of project management and discipline engineering\nExperience with industry-standard project development and execution processes and methodologies\nStrong coaching, mentoring and leadership skills, in order to guide the EP contractors, offsite teams\nStrong interpersonal skills for frequent interfacing with other departments\nConflict management skills\nNegotiation skills required in order to selling project solution ideas to stakeholders\nThe following skills/experiences would be considered an asset:\nSAP experience\nPMP/APMQ certification\nExperience working with new digital platforms, prototype communication technology and advanced construction/fabrication methods\nExperience implementing Continuous and/or work process Improvements\nExperience working with Contract negotiation and Procurement \nAfter you submit your application, you will receive an email providing a link to an online assessment that is a mandatory part of the process and must be successfully completed within 3 days of receiving the initial assessment invite.
