You will be primarily responsible for supporting tax reporting and filing for various legal entities in Germany and the Netherlands. The role provides valuable exposure to direct tax compliance, group reporting, and stakeholder management.\nWhat you’ll be doing\nExecute direct tax provisions on a quarterly and annual basis, including tax true-ups and deferred tax provisions.\nPrepare tax computations and tax returns and ensure timely filing with revenue and statutory authorities.\nEnsure strong coordination across business functions and Finance Operations teams.\nManage workloads, multiple demands, and competing priorities while maintaining high-quality and accurate data.\nProactively manage relationships with stakeholders.\nIdentify and implement process improvement opportunities to reduce complexity and promote best practices.\nKeep abreast of business developments and business performance drivers.\nSupport the migration and standardization of direct tax processes across EU countries.\nPrepare tax notes and disclosures for statutory financial statements and support tax assessments, audit queries, and related compliance requirements.\nWork closely with Tax, Legal, Controllers, and external statutory auditors to support tax reporting, tax payments, and statutory filing requirements.\nWhat you bring\nRecognized professional qualification with at least 2 years of post-qualification experience in Direct Tax processes.\nKnowledge and experience in handling corporate taxation.\nStrong financial reporting experience.\nStrong customer focus and delivery skills.\nGood communication and stakeholder management skills.\nExperience interfacing with senior finance stakeholders.\nDemonstrate collaborative mindset and ability to work effectively across teams and stakeholders.\nKnowledge of ERP systems, particularly SAP and S/4 HANA.\nExcellent MS Office skills.\nAbility to manage competing priorities and deliver quality outcomes in a deadline-driven environment.\nStrong Excel skills; familiarity with Power BI or Tableau.\nBasic knowledge of SQL, Python, and data modelling concepts.\nUnderstanding of data structures, databases, and ETL processes.\nWhat we offer\nYou bring your skills and experience to Shell and in return you work with talented, committed people on one of the most important challenges facing our planet.
