This includes managing commodity and non-commodity settlements, supporting reporting requirements, and ensuring transactions are processed accurately and within agreed timelines. The role offers the opportunity to work in a dynamic global trading environment, collaborating with stakeholders across multiple functions to support efficient and effective trading operations.\nWhat you’ll be doing\nEnsure timely and accurate processing of customer billing invoices in line with agreed service levels and controls.\nProcess payables within agreed service level agreements (SLAs).\nHandle settlement, contract, and pricing-related queries in a timely manner.\nResolve process-related disputes within a short turnaround time, prioritizing high-value invoices to minimize working capital impact.\nProactively follow up on receivables and ensure cash is collected on or before contractual due dates.\nEscalate overdue receivables and outstanding disputes in a timely manner with clear supporting information.\nMonitor and achieve process KPIs, providing appropriate rationale for any gaps in performance.\nMaintain accurate and timely operational trackers and reports.\nManage settlement-related exceptions, including failed transactions and system issues, working closely with relevant stakeholders to resolve them effectively.\nSupport contract and pricing activities, ensuring requests are completed within agreed service levels.\nReview and comply with documented work instructions, procedures, and escalation processes.\nSupport month-end and quarter-end activities, including ad hoc manual journal entries as required.\nParticipate actively in daily operational team meetings and contribute to continuous process improvements.\nManage a high volume of transactions while maintaining accuracy, compliance, and operational excellence.\nWhat you bring\nBachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related business discipline.\nExperience in Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), and finance operations.\nKnowledge of Supply-to-Trading (STI) processes or similar trading and settlement operations.\nKnowledge of GSAP Contracts & Pricing processes or similar contract and pricing management processes.\nHands-on experience using SAP is required. Experience with DEX and other trading operations systems is an advantage.\nStrong understanding of end-to-end Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable processes.\nExperience supporting settlements, invoicing, collections, cash application, and reconciliations.\nGood accounting knowledge with the ability to understand transaction flows and financial impacts across AP and AR processes.\nGood working knowledge of Microsoft Excel.\nKnowledge of Trading Financial Crime policies and exposure to Trading & Supply (TS) operations is an advantage.\nAbility to manage multiple priorities and deliver within tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.\nSoft Skills & Behavioural Competencies:\nStrong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders across diverse teams and cultures.\nProven ability to work proactively and independently with minimal supervision.\nDemonstrated Continuous Improvement (CI) mindset, with experience supporting process improvement initiatives.\nStrong problem-solving skills and the ability to resolve operational issues in a timely manner.\nCustomer-focused approach with the confidence to challenge constructively when required.\nExcellent attention to detail and commitment to accuracy and compliance.\nStrong team player who demonstrates accountability, integrity, and respect while contributing to shared goals.\nFlexible and adaptable to changing business needs and priorities.\nCommitment to maintaining a safe, inclusive, and supportive work environment.\nWhat we offer\nYou bring your skills and experience to Shell and in return you work with talented, committed people on one of the most important challenges facing our planet.
