As our organization continues to optimize Oracle NetSuite and automate treasury and investment accounting processes, this position will play a key role in safeguarding company assets, overseeing cash and investment accounting activities, ensuring the integrity of automated financial data flows, and strengthening internal controls. This role also serves as the primary accounting resource responsible for resident entrance fee escrow administration and related regulatory compliance activities.\n\nReporting directly to the Controller, this individual will have significant exposure to senior finance leadership and opportunities to influence process improvements, system enhancements, and future-state accounting operations. The successful candidate will be a proactive problem solver who enjoys using technology to solve accounting challenges, improve processes, and support a culture of continuous improvement.\n\nThis role responsibilities.\n\nKey Responsibilities\n\nTreasury & Cash Operations\nOversee daily cash positioning and banking activity across multiple operating, trust, escrow, and investment accounts.\nMonitor automated bank feeds and treasury transactions within Oracle NetSuite.\nEnsure timely and accurate recording of cash receipts, disbursements, and treasury-related transactions.\nAssist with liquidity monitoring and cash reporting activities as needed.\nAdminister corporate credit card program, including card issuance, maintenance, spending oversight, transaction monitoring, reconciliation, and coordination with cardholders and financial institutions.\nReview corporate credit card transactions for accurate coding, adequate supporting documentation, compliance with Company policies, and timely reconciliation.\n\nReconciliations & Controls\nPerform daily and monthly reconciliations of bank, escrow, investment accounts and other accounts as assigned.\nInvestigate and resolve reconciling items, outstanding transactions, clearing account variances, and exception reports.\nMaintain strong internal controls designed to safeguard company assets and support accurate financial reporting.\nReview automated transaction matching and identify opportunities to improve reconciliation efficiency.\nResearch and resolve accounting issues impacting treasury-related accounts.\nCoordinate Finance-related aspects of PCI compliance activities and serve as the primary liaison between Finance and internal or external stakeholders involved in credit card security and compliance requirements.\nMonitor corporate credit card controls and related processes to support compliance with Company policies and applicable financial, regulatory, and security requirements.\n\nInvestment & Escrow Accounting\nMonitor automated investment transactions, interest income, dividend activity, and realized gains and losses within NetSuite.\nMaintain accounting records related to resident entrance fees, deposits, and escrow fund activity.\nProcess entrance fee refunds and related transactions in accordance with contractual obligations and regulatory requirements.\n\nAutomation & Financial Systems\nMonitor the integrity of automated banking, treasury, and investment accounting processes.\nIdentify, investigate, and resolve exceptions generated by system integrations and automated data feeds.\nPartner with finance leadership, IT, and external vendors to improve NetSuite workflows and automation capabilities.\nRecommend and implement process improvements that increase efficiency, accuracy, and scalability.\n\nAudit & Compliance\nSupport annual financial statement audits and regulatory reporting requirements.\nPrepare audit schedules, bank confirmations, reconciliations, and supporting documentation.\nAssist in maintaining compliance with applicable regulations governing trust funds, deposits, and entrance fee accounting.\n\nQualifications\n\nEducation\nBachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required.\nCPA or CPA candidate preferred.\n\nExperience\n4-8 years of progressive accounting experience.\nPublic accounting experience and/or a combination of public accounting and industry experience strongly preferred.\nExperience within healthcare, senior living, CCRC, long-term care, or other regulated industries is a plus.\n\nTechnical Skills\nExperience with Oracle NetSuite strongly preferred.\nExperience working with automated bank reconciliations, treasury systems, banking integrations, or financial data feeds.\nStrong understanding of internal controls, reconciliations, and financial reporting processes.\nExperience supporting ERP implementations, system enhancements, or process improvement initiatives is highly
