Keep reading...\nQA Specialist \n\nYour Role \n As a QA Specialist at Shelly, you put our smart-home devices through their paces and help make sure their hardware and firmware work reliably together. You combine hands-on manual testing with Python-based automation to uncover issues, improve test coverage, and catch tricky edge cases before they reach users. You work closely with developers and hardware engineers to help turn bold ideas into reliable, production-ready products. \nYour Responsibilities:\nPlan, design, maintain, and execute manual and automated test cases for Shelly’s IoT devices, checking how firmware and hardware work together.\nAnalyze and document test results, highlight quality issues, and recommend improvements.\nIdentify, reproduce, report, and track bugs, working closely with developers and hardware engineers to investigate issues, support timely resolution, and verify fixes.\nContribute to test strategies, test plans, and reports, keeping test documentation clear and up to date.\nWrite and maintain test scripts and help improve our automation framework, expanding test coverage and supporting scalability.\nStay up to date with QA methodologies, tools, and trends, share what you learn, and help make our testing processes more effective.\nWhat makes you a great fit:\nYou bring at least 2 years of experience in QA or software testing.\nYou have a solid understanding of software testing principles, methodologies, and processes, along with the product development, software development, and software testing lifecycles.\nYou have hands-on experience creating, maintaining, and executing manual test cases and documenting test results.\nYou use Jira or similar bug-tracking tools to report and track issues clearly.\nYou are comfortable working with Git, Linux, and command-line operations.\nYou understand programming fundamentals and can write and maintain scripts, preferably in Python.\nYou have experience with test automation tools, can contribute to automation framework development, and are familiar with continuous integration and delivery (CI/CD) pipelines.\nYou pay close attention to detail, approach problems analytically, and manage multiple tasks effectively.\nYou communicate clearly, both verbally and in writing, and collaborate well with colleagues across teams.\nYou get bonus points for experience with IoT protocols such as MQTT, Matter and Zigbee and embedded systems testing, or troubleshooting hardware-software interactions.\nYou stand out even more with Python or other programming skills, a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, Electrical Engineering, or a related field, or an ISTQB Foundation Level certification or equivalent.\nWhat is in it for you\nWork: \nA welcoming, collaborative team\nMeaningful products and services that people actually use and love.\nLearning opportunities to sharpen your skills\nCompetitive salary + Performance bonuses\nModern office in a great location\nFun team buildings and company events\nLifestyle: \n\n26 days of paid annual leave\nFlexible working hours\nAdditional health insurance\nFree access to all Shelly devices (yes, you can smarten up your whole home!)\nMultisport Card\nFully sponsored yearly public transport card\nReady to join the Shelly Revolution?
