Over the past year, our compassionate team has positively impacted the lives of nearly 2,000 individuals, approximately half of whom were children.\nOur organizational culture is grounded in our core values of Inclusivity, Collaboration, Accountability, Respect, and Empowerment (iC.A.R.E.).\nAbout the Role\nThe Program Support Coordinator provides prompt, safe, and reliable services to participants of the LHSC Drop In program. This position supports the Drop In Case Manager, the broader Drop In team, and the Director of Drop In Services in coordinating supportive services that enhance the quality and effectiveness of the program.\nThe Program Support Coordinator also assists with daily program operations, participant engagement, administrative responsibilities, vendor coordination, volunteer activities, and maintaining a safe and welcoming environment for program participants.\nResponsibilities\nAssist with participant intake processes, including completing paperwork, copying identification documents, creating case files, and identifying service needs.\nEnsure participants are appropriately checked in and connected to available services.\nManage the Drop In Case Manager's calendar as needed.\nCollaborate with the ELDC Program Support Professional to coordinate the community calendar, data entry, outreach efforts, supply management, and case file organization.\nProvide participants with appropriate referrals and information about community resources and partner organizations.\nSupport basic IT needs and equipment used within the Drop In program.\nHelp maintain the cleanliness, safety, and overall condition of program spaces and vehicles.\nCollaborate with the Director of Drop In Services and LHSC Community Coordinator to coordinate donations, transportation, and volunteer group activities.\nCoordinate with vendors and volunteers to ensure timely completion of building maintenance, safety-related activities, projects, deliveries, and participant needs.\nMaintain accurate driving logs documenting trips completed by program shuttle buses and vans.\nEnsure program vehicles remain clean, organized, and ready for use.\nCollaborate with the Community Coordinator to identify gaps in available participant services and support.\nDocument and report incidents to the Director of Drop In Services in a timely manner.\nCoordinate donation pickups and deliveries as needed.\nSupport shelter activities, programs, and special projects as directed by the supervisor.\nAssist with general shelter operations, including cleaning, answering phones, and other operational needs.\nCommunicate program updates, concerns, and feedback to the supervisor.\nEnsure compliance with all Shelter House policies and procedures.\nEffectively utilize Microsoft 365 applications, including Outlook, calendars, and document management tools, to complete daily responsibilities.\nDemonstrate Shelter House's core values of Inclusivity, Collaboration, Accountability, Respect, and Empowerment (iC.A.R.E.).\nPerform other duties as assigned.\nAbout You\nRequired Qualifications\nHigh school diploma or GED.\nAbility to establish and maintain positive, professional relationships with program participants, colleagues, and community partners.\nStrong verbal and written communication skills.\nPreferred Qualifications\nExperience working in programs serving adults experiencing homelessness.\nCurrent CPR and First Aid certification.\nPhysical Requirements\nAnnual TB testing is required.\nAbility to sit or stand for extended periods.\nAbility to lift items weighing 20-25 pounds.\nBenefits\nMedical, Dental & Vision Insurance \n401K contributions with a 4% employer match \n13 Paid Holidays, 2 Floating Holidays and the opportunity to take your Birthday Off \nFour Annual Employee Engagement Events \nEqual Employment Opportunity:\nEqual Employment Opportunity Policy: Shelter House is committed to providing equal employment opportunity to all employees and applicants.
