Implement global process engineering design for manufacturing standardization of new technologies.\nResponsible for implementing Design Engineering Standards for process best Practices.\n\nDevelop economic studies and evaluations of existing and proposed processes.\n\nIdentifies and implements improvementsProvide recommendations and work within teams to achieve continuous improvement for improved safety, improved quality, better service, lower costs, and improved yields.\n\nAssists to develop long term vision for facility and technology plans to achieve goals.\nDevelop and evaluate ideas for longer term process improvements including ideas for capital projects. \nWrite Charters/Proposals/Scopes for Improvements, including quantifying improvements and costs\n\nLeads and Participates in LSS/Continuous Improvement projects where appropriate\n\nLeads small capital projects where appropriate\n\nSupport facility engineers with process design for capital projects.\nDevelop process designs and process design letters to support capital projects, including, as needed: process simulations, heat and material balances, process flow diagrams, piping & instrument diagrams, process equipment specifications, Process Hazard Analysis / HAZOP activities, economic analyses, and HSE evaluations.\n\nProvide on-going support to capital project engineers during the detailed design phase, equipment purchase, construction and start-up of capital projects.\n\nProvide process technology input in the form of technology packages as the basis of capital investments\n\nParticipates and Approves facility preliminary engineering packages for capital projects.\n\nProvide plant training for process chemistry, operations and design of equipment.\n\nParticipates in Equipment Optimization and Operating Parameters\n\nResponsible key PSM element owner for on-site Process Safety Management (PSM) program\nResponsible Element ownership of PHA and PSI\n\nReview and develop Process Safety Information as needed\n\nLead or participate in Process Hazard Analysis (PHA), Pre-Startup Safety Reviews (PSSR’s), and management of change (MOC’s)\n\nKnowledgeable of all applicable codes, standards and RAGAGEP for the equipment / processes typically utilized in Sherwin Williams.\n\nUtilize outside engineering expertise where appropriate for process design, equipment sizing, etc.\nPerforms other duties as assigned.\n POSITION REQUIREMENTS\nFORMAL EDUCATION:\nEngineering Apprenticeship.\nEngineering degree, or working towards.\n5 + year’s experience in a Hazardous manufacturing environment.\nWorking knowledge of Management of relevant country Health and Safety legislation \nExperience of Computer Maintenance Management Systems.\nKNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE:\nRegulatory understanding, including, PSSR, LOLER, PUWER, HASAW 1974, SEVESO/COMAH.\nWorking knowledge of ATEX\nCommissioning and Management of Change.\n
