It is responsible for all EHS programs, activities, and control measures for the site and CTS Fleet. This individual will also be accountable for ensuring compliance with VPP standards and all federal, state, and local regulatory requirements related to occupational health, safety, and environmental compliance. The role maintains CTS compliance with all DOT regulations and coordinates safety training and related activities associated with regulated programs, including OSHA VPP. Included in the position's purview is working with operations management, management staff and employees to ensure safety and environmental compliance. This role serves as the key catalyst in efforts to reduce and eliminate the frequency and severity of injuries through timely and effective investigation, awareness, and training programs.\nThis position administers, coordinates and manages environmental, health and safety activities for both CTS fleet and the DSC. In addition, this position assures CTS compliance with all DOT regulations and coordinates safety training and related activities associated with regulated programs, including OSHA VPP. Working with operations management, management staff and employees, this position serves as the key catalyst in efforts to reduce and eliminate the frequency and severity of injuries through timely and effective awareness and training programs; Root Cause Analysis on warehouse and CTS incidents; data mining to identify trends, etc.\nAdditional Information\nMonday - Friday, 8:00AM - 5:00PM with flexibility to support a 24/7 operation\n10% Travel\nThis position is also eligible for a bonus based on performance and subject to the terms of the Company’s applicable plans.\nThis position is eligible for health benefits, such as medical, dental and vision coverage, Flexible Spending Accounts (FSAs), disability coverage, security, retirement and saving benefits. The Company therefore has determined that a review of criminal history is necessary to protect the business and its operations and reputation and is necessary to protect the safety of the Company’s staff, employees, and business relationships.\n Plan, coordinate and lead Safety Team and Driver Safety Meetings\nOversee all logging regulations and verifications, including re-audits of any log discrepancies\nSupport Human Resources in interviewing and safety determinations and DOT requirements regarding applicants\nDevelop and implement safety and health training and awareness programs designed to promote employee participation and support for safety goals and objectives based on thorough knowledge of local, state, and federal regulations\nMaintain regulatory compliance reporting, recordkeeping, and monitoring (OSHA, EPA, FMCSA and DOT).\nCollect and maintain employee data\nInvestigate and report all accidents and incidents, including any follow-ups to ensure corrective action\nProvide timely reports/audits to management and oversight as required\nDevelop and implement safety and environmental programs that ensure a safe work environment as well as compliance with Company Policies, Federal, State, and local regulations\nIntegrate risk control/loss control into daily operations\nPromote safe actions among all business associates\nAdminister incentive and award program for CTS\nResponsible for training of CTS on new/revised laws as they relate to the various teams\nCoordinate all location safety, occupational health, and fire protection improvement projects\nEnsure that all employees are properly trained in safety, lift truck operation, Hazard Communication, respiratory protection, spill assessment/response, etc.\nContribute to personal growth in the safety field by participating in appropriate on the job activities and professional development opportunities\nIntervene in emergency situations in order to minimize the risk to life, safety, and physical assets.\nEnsure and coordinate compliance for claims and procedures with State Workers Compensation laws.\nEnsuring employee safety and health policy and programs comply with government and corporate regulations\nCompliance with federal, state, and local laws regarding the CTS Fleet\nDevelop and initiate programs and processes to reduce frequency and severity of occupational injuries, illnesses, and property losses.\nCoordinating the employee safety and health programs and activities of the site\nEnsuring response to safety and health questions and concerns\nMaintain employees and management involvement in safety and health efforts of the site\nEnsuring accurate and accessible systems and records for retrieval of safety and health issues\nProviding mechanisms for communicating safety and health issues to site.\nDriver incentives\nRequirements of the VPP Program\nMinimum Requirements:\nMust be at least eighteen (18) years of age\nMust be legally authorized to work in the country of employment without needing sponsorship for employment work visa status now or in the future\nMust have a bachelor's degree or higher or have at least four (8) years of work experience in environmental, health and safety\nMust have at least three (3) years of work experience in environmental, health, and safety\nPreferred Qualifications:\nHave completed formal training in and/or have at least one (1) year of work experience applying continuous improvement tools such as Six Sigma, 5-S, Lean Manufacturing, Transactional Lean, etc.\nHave at least one (1) year of work experience in a manufacturing or distribution facility\nHave a bachelor’s degree or higher in Environmental, Health & Safety, Engineering or Business \nHave prior work experience leading or participating in an OSHA VPP Audit or maintaining VPP status \nHave prior supervisory experience\nHave working experience with DOT (Department of Transportation) compliance","description_format":"text","description_chars":6254,"description_truncated":false,"requirements":{"experience_years_min":4,"management_years_min":null,"team_size_min":null,"manages_managers":false,"education":{"level":"bachelor","optional":false},"security_clearance":false,"languages":[]},"benefits":["Parental leave","Professional development"],"hiring_locations":[],"hiring_excludes":[],"relocation_offered":false,"industries":["Consumer Goods","Chemical Manufacturing","Tools & DIY Supplies"],"lifecycle":[{"event":"open","at":"2026-10-02T02:54:39Z"}],"visa":[{"country":"GB","licensed_sponsor":true,"evidence":"Licensed UK visa sponsor (Skilled Worker, Senior or Specialist Worker)","filings_12m":null,"filings_prev_12m":null,"green_card_filings_12m":null,"median_offered_wage_usd":null,"route":"Skilled Worker;
