The position is responsible collection and billing activities for Accounts Receivable (AR) on behalf of Paint Stores Group (PSG), Performance Coatings Group (PCG), and Consumer Brands Group (CBG). The successful candidate will have direct contact with our customers; build relationships with the sales organization; and collaborate with finance colleagues of The Sherwin-Williams Company.\nThis position is not hybrid/remote and will report to the Higbee Building in Cleveland, OH.\nBecause this role involves access to confidential financial information, the Company has determined that a review of criminal history is necessary to protect the business and its operations and reputation and to provide similar protections for its clients and potential investments.\n CORE RESPONSIBILITIES \nCUSTOMER COLLECTION ACTIVITY\nDirect customer contact of delinquent accounts in assigned area of responsibility to optimize cash flow and profitability.\n\nDevelop and maintain effective working relationships with the sales organization and customers to enhance collection efforts and maintain business continuity.\n\nDevelop and execute action plans to proactively resolve delinquent accounts.\n\nEvaluate collection customer activity results and recommend escalation to improve performance.\n\nProcess required information on Customer and/or Third-Party websites to facilitate payment.\n\nWork with customers and the appropriate SW management to resolve customer discrepancies or disputes.\n\nAssist in identifying EDI, pricing, tracking, and process issues resulting in delayed payments.\n\nInitiate contact with stores, branches, customers, and customer service teams on issues impacting business opportunities.\n\nCONTINUOUS IMPROVEMENT\nAssist in the identification and strategic solutioning of process bottlenecks.\nCollaborate and partner with key leaders and internal stakeholders in realizing scaling opportunities through process efficiencies and automation.\nMaintain a knowledge and understanding of KPI metrics to improve levels of service and AR performance.\nACCOUNTS RECEIVABLE CONTROLS AND COMPLIANCE\nMaintain consistent adherence to the credit policies and procedures.\nMaintain customer and business records in accordance with established policies and procedures.\nVerify the AR balances are properly stated for the area of responsibility according to existing policies.\nTimely respond to internal and external AR audit inquiries as required. \n POSITION REQUIREMENTS\nRequired:\nHigh School Diploma or GED \nExperience in finance, accounting, or sales activities.\nMust be at least eighteen (18) years of age\nMust be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship now or in the future for employment visa status \nExperience with Microsoft Applications, including but not limited to, Excel and Word.\nPreferred:\nBachelor’s Degree \nSherwin-Williams’ store, facility, or branch experience.\nOperational analysis and business communications experience.\nCustomer service experience.\nExperience in Accounts Receivable. \nTravel:
