This role involves responding to facility requests, assisting with office relocations, and installing office fixtures and equipment. Additionally, the Facilities Technician develops preventative maintenance routines, reviews contractor invoices, and ensures facility efficiency and safety.Role Description\nEvaluate issues and determine the need for subcontractor intervention\n\nSchedule, escort, and monitor contractors and vendors to ensure work is completed to specifications\n\nProactively identify and address potential facility issues before they escalate\n\nRespond to facilities requests from SHI management and personnel in a timely manner, including during off hours\n\nPerform general maintenance, including replacing lightbulbs and making minor plumbing repairs\n\nAssist with office relocations, including departmental and employee moves\n\nInstall and maintain office fixtures such as monitors, pictures, whiteboards, and shelves\n\nModify furniture and perform minor repairs on AV equipment\n\nReview and approve contractor/vendor invoices for accuracy and compliance with SOW and SHI’s purchase orders\n\nDevelop and maintain a consistent preventative maintenance routine to ensure facility efficiency and safety\n\nBehaviors and Competencies\nCommunication: Can communicate simple ideas and information clearly.\n\nInitiative: Can demonstrate a willingness to take on new tasks and responsibilities when assigned.\n\nTeamwork: Can understand the importance of teamwork but may struggle to contribute effectively to team efforts.\n\nResilience: Can demonstrate a willingness to persevere through difficulties when they arise.\n\nProfessionalism: Can demonstrate a willingness to adhere to workplace norms and expectations.\n\nFlexibility: Can adjust to changes in tasks and responsibilities when required.\n\nDetail-Oriented: Can demonstrate an ability to follow instructions and complete tasks as assigned.\n\nResearch: Can demonstrate a willingness to seek out information when required.\n\n Skill Level Requirements\nAbility to perform basic mathematical calculations accurately and efficiently - Basic\n\nExperience using Building Management Software (BMS) for HVAC and lighting systems - Basic\n\nAbility to research and select vendors based on reputation, cost, and turnaround time - Basic\n\nThe ability to effectively utilize applications like Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook to enhance productivity and perform various tasks efficiently - Basic\n\nFundamental understanding of HVAC, electrical, and plumbing systems - Basic\n\nBasic knowledge of office building systems, including Life Safety, HVAC, Security, Electrical, Plumbing, and Generators - Basic\n\n Other Requirements\nCompleted High School Diploma required\n\nExperience in a corporate facilities environment preferred\n\nMust have a valid Driver’s License and reliable vehicle\n\nAbility to work flexible hours\n\nAbility to move or lift up to 50 lbs.\n\nThe base salary range for this position is $45,000 - $55,000. The estimated on-target earnings, or OTE, which includes a base salary and bonus/commissions, are $45,000 - $55,000. The compensation for this position is dependent on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and market location and, therefore, will vary from individual to individual.
