This includes vSphere, vSAN, VLAN backed networks, and OVA appliances including SDDC Manager, vCenters, NSX Managers, Edge Clusters, Aria Automation, Aria Operations, and Aria Operations for Logs.Role Description\nLead customer consulting projects focused on VMware Cloud Foundation (VCF) private cloud solutions, guiding them to successful outcomes as a subject matter expert (SME).\n\nCollaborate with clients to identifyVCF opportunities.\n\nPlan, Deploy, Manage and Operate VMware Cloud Foundation. Ability to design and size infrastructure for the management components and for workload domains in preparing for VCF planning, designingand deployment of the physical network.\n\n8+ year’s experienceimplementing and configuring vSphere environments.\n\nExperience designing, deploying and configuration of NSX and NSX migrations. Should have experience with microsegmentation.\n\nExperience designing, deployingand configuring data center networks or implementing/troubleshooting networking solutions involving LANs, VLANs, WANs, routers, switches, and firewalls.\n\nAssess existing IT environments to provide strategies for VCF consumption.\n\nDesign, deploy and implementation ofVMware vSANclusters in a vSphere environment.\n\nHands-on installation and configuration knowledge of Aria Operations, especially with dashboards and alerts, and Log Insight\n\nExperience with deploying Aria Automation, configuring service catalogs, and integrating Aria Automation Orchestrator.\n\nSenior skills with designing, installingand configuring disaster recovery solutions using Site Recovery Manager and/or VMware Live Recovery.\n\nIdentify trends and deliver solutions that resolve challenges across multiple VMware products.\n\nAbility to determineand resolve complex technical and operational challenges the customer may experience.\n\nStrong communications and interpersonal skills with an ability to read complex customer situations and adapt as needed.\n\nMentorand manage consultants on VCF solutions.\n\nBehaviors and Competencies\nProblem-Solving: Can proactively identify and take ownership of complex problem-solving initiatives, initiate preventative measures, collaborate with others to find solutions, and drive successful outcomes.\n\nCommunication: Can effectively communicate complex ideas and information to diverse audiences, facilitate effective communication between others, and mentor others in effective communication.\n\nAdaptability: Can lead others through change, help teams adapt to new directions, and create a culture open to change.\n\nLeadership: Can take ownership of complex team initiatives, collaborate with others in decision-making processes, and drive team performance.\n\nTeamwork: Can build and lead multiple teams, fostering a cooperative environment and ensuring effective communication between team members.\n\nSelf-Motivation: Can take ownership of complex personal or professional initiatives, collaborate with others when necessary, and drive results through self-motivation.\n\n Skill Level Requirements\nProficiency in overseeing and directing projects to completion, ensuring goals are met, resources are utilized efficiently, and stakeholders are satisfied - Intermediate\n\nAbility to systematically identify, document, and manage the technical needs and specifications of a project by engaging with stakeholders and analyzing business objectives to ensure successful project outcomes - Intermediate\n\nAbility to define, design, build, and maintain robust systems and solutions by leveraging systems and infrastructure effectively - Intermediate\n\nAbility to write, debug, and maintain code in various scripting and programming languages to automate tasks and develop software solutions - Intermediate\n\nAbility to understand and manage various infrastructure components (firewalls, load balancers, hypervisors, storage, monitoring, security) and use orchestration tools to develop comprehensive technical solutions - Intermediate\n\nAbility to develop detailed Statements of Work (SOWs) and drive revenue growth through professional services engagements - Intermediate\n\nExtensive experience working on large scale IT projects related to design, deployment and configuration - Intermediate\n\nOther Requirements\nCompleted Bachelor’s Degree or relevant work experience\n\n5+ years of experience in solutions architecture or software engineering\n\nWillingness to travel occasionally\n\nPreferred Requirements\nValid VCAP-DCV Design and Deploy Certification (minimum) or equal experience in deploying the below. VCDX -DCV certification (optional).\n\n5+years experiencewith VMware NSX, or 10+ deployment projects involving NSX.CCNP or equivalent may alsoacceptable.\n\nVMware Cloud Foundation implementation experience and familiarity with VCF topology models,CloudBuilder, and SDDC Manager\n\nAbility to provide leadership and best practices as well as lead the customer on technical, product-centric topics.\n\nThe estimated annual pay range for this position is $190,000 - $250,000 which includes a base salary and bonus. The compensation for this position is dependent on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and market location and, therefore, will vary from individual to individual.
