You will join a team of highly talented cross-functional engineers that exhibit a culture of mentorship, kindness, ownership, and hard work.\nThe ideal start date is June 2027, and the end date is flexible.\nWhat you'll do:\n* Support environmental and stress testing efforts (e.g., temperature cycling, vibration, HALT/HASS) to validate hardware reliability\n* Assist in failure analysis and root cause investigations for manufacturing non-conformances and field returns\n* Analyze test results and field data to help identify potential failure modes and reliability risks\n* Collaborate with design engineers to incorporate design-for-reliability best practices\n* Participate in design reviews and FMEA activities to evaluate potential issues\n* Support development of corrective actions and process improvements to enhance hardware reliability\n* Assist in reviewing materials, manufacturing processes, and component selection for reliability considerations\n* Utilize data analysis tools (e.g., Python) to support reliability assessments and reporting\n* Work cross-functionally with engineering, manufacturing, and supplier teams\n* Travel occasionally to support testing or supplier engagements as needed\nRequirements:\nHave completed at least the 2nd year of a relevant degree. Typically, Mechanical, Materials, or Reliability engineering.\n\nStrong technical fundamentals.\n\nHave been part of an engineering team/club.\n\nExperience with design software and tools such as Altium, ANSYS Mechanical, SolidWorks, etc\n\nHands-on experience with materials characterization equipment including SEM, microscopes, CT, FTIR, DSC, and others.\n\nDemonstrated history of showing ownership of project outcomes and delivering exceptional results.\n\nRecord of working hard, being a trustworthy teammate, holding yourself and others to high standards, and being kind to others.\n\nWhat you'll do:\nYou will be given ownership of a project that is tailored to the start date, duration, and location of your Co-op.\nYour work will directly contribute to the success of our novel aircraft development program. You will understand exactly why your project matters and how it ties into our critical path development objectives.\nYou will be partnered with a senior engineer as mentor and guide for technical input and professional development.\nExamples of projects:\nQualify a new PCBA material for flight through material downselection, environmental testing, and destructive verification.\n\nPerform reliability analyses on avionics, compute, and high voltage power electronics to ensure field performance.\n\nWork with a senior engineer to environmentally test a new Avionics system.\n\nDevelop software tools to analyze components and feed results into reliability analyses.\n\nRun a HALT campaign to ensure a series of new circuit boards are highly reliable.\n\nPerform failure analysis on a failed electronic product or component.\n\nRequired qualifications:\nHave completed at least the 2nd year of a relevant degree.
