You’ll have a say in how our cloud infrastructure is designed, built, secured, and maintained. This is a hands-on position where you’ll be responsible for end-to-end infrastructure and security tasks that directly impact our business.\nWhat You’ll Do:\nSupport DevOps and security initiatives across Shift’s cloud environments, from design to delivery.\n\nBuild, maintain, and improve automated deployment pipelines using DevOps best practices.\n\nAssist with security testing, vulnerability scanning, and remediation across our infrastructure.\n\nApply security best practices, help maintain policies and controls, and support the team in following them.\n\nMonitor for emerging security threats and help manage risks proactively.\n\nWork with engineering teams to ensure security is considered from the start in applications and tools.\n\nContribute to infrastructure and security improvement projects from planning through delivery.\n\nWhat You’ll Bring:\n3+ years in a cloud infrastructure or technology role, with some security experience.\n\nSolid hands-on experience with Azure or AWS (IaaS and PaaS).\n\nWorking knowledge of at least one scripting or programming language (Python, PowerShell, Bash, or C#).\n\nExperience with Docker and Kubernetes is preferred; Helm knowledge is a plus.\n\nUnderstanding of security fundamentals (IAM, WAF, vulnerability management).\n\nFamiliarity with CI/CD pipelines (e.g., GitHub, Flux CD, Octopus Deploy).\n\nComfort working in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment where self-direction is key.\n\nKey benefits:\nHybrid working: we’re headquartered in North Sydney with state-based workplaces and offer a hybrid work policy.
