Currently, for one of our Partners, we are looking for an experienced Senior Java Developer - EU Grants Systems (SEP) (m/f/n) for a project delivered for an organization of theEuropean Commission based in Brussels.
Project Context:
The project concerns the transformation, development, and maintenance of eGrants pre-award and audit systems.
The scope mainly includes: SEP Submission, SEP Evaluation, eAudit, eGrants NextGen, preparation of systems for the next MFF and integrations with corporate systems, including CCT, SyGMa, and Compass Corporate.
Requirements:
Minimum education: 3 years of studies
Minimum ICT experience: 5 years
Minimum years of experience relevant to the profile: 4 years
Certification: any development certification, mandatory
Practical knowledge of grants and programme rules, e.g. Horizon Europe, LIFE, Digital Europe
Awareness of EC compliance requirements, e.g. GDPR for participant data
Experience interpreting EC call documentation, e.g. Work Programmes and Guide for Applicants
Very good knowledge of software development and governance methodologies, e.g. Agile, Scrum, Waterfall, RUP, ITIL
Experience with Agile project management, backlog management, grooming, refinement sessions, iterative planning and delivery, estimation techniques, and incremental development
Experience with project management and collaboration tools, e.g. JIRA, Microsoft Project, Confluence
Experience with requirements management tools, e.g. Jira or GitLab
Experience with system integrations, e.g. API or manual data imports
Knowledge of testing methodologies, e.g. UAT scripts and regression testing
Knowledge of data security and compliance practices

Support for the development and maintenance of SEP Submission and SEP Evaluation
Support for eAudit modularisation development
Support for eAudit analysis through technical implementation of changes and maintenance
Development and integration of new functionalities in SEP/eAudit systems
Implementation of functional and technical changes
Work on Java Enterprise components
Working with the WebLogic application server
Designing, building, and securing RESTful APIs and web services
Preparing and updating OpenAPI/Swagger documentation
Working with SQL and PL/SQL or PL/pgSQL
