This position will initially support field work related to the City of Guthrie Interim Wastewater Treatment Plant Expansion project.\nRust Constructors Inc. is a full-service, merit-shop construction and maintenance company providing life-cycle services for the mining, power, industrial, infrastructure, and government markets. Our services include construction, construction management, construction consulting; testing, checkout, start-up; and plant services including total plant maintenance, shutdowns, turnarounds, production support and technical support. Rust is a wholly owned subsidiary of Shimmick Construction Company, Inc.\nResponsibilities\nThe Operator Journeyman performs a variety of skilled work in the operation of light, medium and heavy equipment.\nTypical Responsibilitites include but are not limited to the following:\nReceives written, visual, and oral instructions from supervisor regarding materials to move or excavate.\nCoordinates machine actions with other activities, positioning or moving loads in response to hand or audio signals from crew members.\nDemonstrates safe operation of all equipment.\nReads and understands the results and purpose of all gauges and equipment.\nProperly maintains and services or has equipment serviced daily.\nPerforms minor maintenance or clearing of tools and equipment.\nLoads and moves dirt, rocks, equipment, or other materials, using trucks, crawler tractors, power cranes, shovels, graders, or related equipment.\nDrive and maneuver equipment equipped with blades in successive passes over working areas to remove topsoil, vegetation, or rocks or to distribute and level earth or terrain.\nLevel Specific Responsibilities: Under direct supervision, performs routine duties. Displays knowledge and abilities to evaluate, select and apply standard construction techniques, procedures and criteria to meet basic construction specifications. Displays applications of sound professional judgment on details of work.\nQualifications\nMinimum Requirements:\n3+ years' experience in related craft (e.g., excavators, bulldozers, backhoes, loaders,skid steer, forklifts, or graders).\nPreferred Qualifications\nAbility to read, interpret, and understand plans and specifications.\nHigh School Diploma or demonstrated equivalent.\nAdditional Information:\nThe hourly rate for this position is $26.50.\nQualified applicants who are offered a position must pass a pre-employment Substance Abuse and Criminal Background screening.\nThis is a safety sensitive position.\nThis position does not include sponsorship for United States work authorization.\nThe hourly rate for this position is $26.50.\nNOTICE TO THIRD PARTY AGENCIES:Please note that Shimmick does not accept unsolicited resumes from recruiters or employment agencies.
