In this role, you will initially support the North Hollywood to Pasadena Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) Project, a progressive 19-mile transit corridor connecting North Hollywood, Burbank, Glendale, Eagle Rock, and Pasadena. Featuring 22 new stations, the BRT line is designed to provide faster and more reliable transit options, reduce traffic congestion, and improve air quality by utilizing zero-emission electric buses.\nAt Shimmick, we are problem solvers. We work hard together-and with our clients-to deliver high-quality projects that are on time, on budget and beyond expectations.\nSouthwest Division\nShimmick’s Southwest Division, headquartered in Irvine, California, focuses on large public owners in Southern California, across water resources, water treatment, transportation, and transit markets. Over the past decade, the division has grown tremendously, securing major projects, including the $828 million Gerald Desmond Bridge, the first cable-stayed vehicular bridge in California.\nResponsibilities\nResponsibilities include but are not limited to:\nAssist in managing day-to-day project activities and field operations.\nReview drawings, specifications, and submittals for accuracy and compliance.\nPrepare and track RFIs, change orders, and other project documentation.\nCoordinate with subcontractors, suppliers, and field crews.\nSupport cost control, scheduling, and quality assurance efforts.\nEnsure safety and environmental compliance on-site.\nFacilitate effective communication among project stakeholders.\n\nQualifications\nMinimum Requirements:\nBachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field + 8 years of heavy civil construction experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education. \nHeavy civil transportation infrastructure project experience (roadway, street improvement, earthworks, bridge structures, etc.).\nPreferred Qualifications:\nPrevious heavy civil construction experience in a self-perform environment.\nAdditional Information:\nThis position is based in Glendale, CA\nQualified applicants who are offered a position must pass a pre-employment substance abuse test.\nThis position does not include sponsorship for United States work authorization.\nThe salary range for this position is between $140,000-$165,000 per year depending on experience and/or education.\nShimmick's comprehensive benefits plan includes medical, dental and vision coverage; as well as options to participate in an FSA or HSA.
