We work hard together-and with our clients-to deliver high-quality projects that are on time, on budget and beyond expectations.\nNorthwest Division\nShimmick’s Northwest Division, headquartered in Suisun City, California, focuses on large public owners in Northern California, across water resources, water treatment, transportation, and transit markets. In addition, this division was awarded the APWA 2019 Public Works Project Award in the environment category for the Alameda Creek Fish Passage project in California.\nResponsibilities\nThe responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to the following:\nManaging project implementation including schedule, budgets, quality and safety.Resource planning and management - including managing company resources assigned to the project as well as third party vendors, designers, fabricators and contractors.\nDirect the efforts of the full engineering, procurement, fabrication, construction management, and commissioning team in creating the execution plans, organization, and contracts needed to deliver the project within the stated cost and schedule.\nContinue to build a positive relationship with highly important & strategic clients who have significant future work in the area.\nPreparing and issuing Progress Reports and ensuring timely payments.\nMonitoring compliance with various regulatory statues as well as compliance with applicable Shimmick policies and procedures.\nProject stakeholder management and interface.\nCreation and implementation of Project Updates - Job Status Reports and Quarterly EAC Reports.\nOther duties as assigned.\nQualifications\nMinimum Requirements:\nBachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field + 4 years of relevant project management experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.\nStrong understanding of construction contracts and risk mitigation.\nHeavy civil construction project experience in Northern California.\nPreferred Qualifications:\nExperience with self-perform civil construction projects.\nExperience with heavy civil water/wastewater or water resources projects.\nAdditional Information:\nThis position is based in Northern California.\nQualified applicants who are offered a position must pass a pre-employment substance abuse test.\nThis position does not include sponsorship for a United States work authorization.\nThe salary range for this position is between $125,000 - $160,000 per year depending on experience and/or education.\nShimmick offers a comprehensive and competitive benefits package designed to support your health, well-being, and financial future.
