As project delivery models, regulatory frameworks, supply chains, and technology continue to evolve, our ability to stay flexible and agile in our construction approach is essential to our success.\nResponsibilities\nTypical responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:\nKnowledgeable of planning and scheduling concepts and principles including effects on financial performance.\nFamiliar with data sources and supports basic schedule development. \nSupports analysis of schedule, identifies and investigates project schedule variances. \nCollects and updates data and updates and produces scheduling reports. \nAssists in the development and maintenance of WBS and support activities to implement applicable coding. Supports basic schedule development. \nSupports gathering and assembling data for schedule updating. \nSupports measurement of project schedule progress and gathers and assembles data for schedule and network updating. \nGathers data for schedule baseline development and maintenance. \nFamiliar with construction drawings, specifications and construction contracting methods.\nUnderstands CPM scheduling concepts and principles and able to develop basic engineering, procurement and construction logic. \nUnderstands concepts and principles of scope control and change management and earned value methodology.\nSupports monthly report preparation.\nMay participate in planning and scheduling meetings to gain insight to planning and scheduling issues. \nExposure to basic scheduling and cost baseline fundamentals, concepts and principles.\nQualifications\nMinimum Requirements:\nBachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Business or related field + 4 years of relevant project scheduling experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.\nProficiency in P6 scheduling software.\nExperience scheduling Heavy civil infrastructure projects (bridge structures, rail/transit projects, dams, piers, water/wastewater treatment plants etc.).\nPreferred Qualifications:\n6+ years' project scheduling experience. \nScheduling experience on two projects within the past 5 years related to heavy civil construction. \nExperience in heavy civil or industrial EPC/maintenance projects, specifically in cost control, planning and scheduling positions, or previous field engineering experience with emphasis on reporting and tracking of productivity and costs. \nExperience in setup of work breakdown structure and establishing levels of control.\nExperience in cost analysis, forecasting, progress measurement and earned value performance (EVMS).\nExperience in risk analysis, contingency management, change control, and Time-Impact Analysis.\nExperience with alternative project delivery methodologies (CM/GC, CMAR, Progressive Design-Build, etc.).\nAbility to work effectively in a project team environment.\nSoftware experience including CMIC, MS Office Excel, or other EVMS programs (Deltek Cobra, PRISM, etc.).\nAdditional Information:\nQualified applicants who are offered a position must pass a pre-employment substance abuse test.\nThis position does not include sponsorship for United States work authorization.\nThe salary range for this position is between $115,000 - $160,000 per year depending on experience and/or education.\nShimmick's comprehensive benefits plan includes medical, dental and vision coverage; as well as options to participate in an FSA or HSA.
