Most days will be spent assembling, integrating, and inspecting Shinkei’s Poseidon machines. Mid-level technicians are expected to independently complete builds, own assigned subassemblies, follow engineering documentation, and consistently meet quality and production targets.\nOur work focuses primarily on mechanical, electrical, and electromechanical assemblies, with some wiring, testing, and troubleshooting. We’re looking for someone who can work efficiently with limited supervision, adapt to evolving hardware and processes, and help maintain a consistent production cadence.\nWhat You’ll Do\nIndependently assemble and integrate mechanical, electrical, and electromechanical subassemblies and production machines.\n\nOwn assigned subassemblies and build stages from start to completion, ensuring work meets quality standards and production schedules.\n\nFollow engineering drawings, BOMs, build instructions, and torque specifications to complete builds accurately and consistently.\n\nPerform wiring, cable preparation, crimping, connector assembly, harness routing, and electrical integration.\n\nUse hand tools, power tools, torque wrenches, crimpers, and multimeters throughout daily assembly work.\n\nInspect completed work, identify discrepancies, and resolve routine build issues before they affect downstream assembly.\n\nTroubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues during integration and testing, escalating issues that require engineering support.\n\nIncorporate engineering changes and updated instructions into active builds while communicating unclear documentation or part discrepancies.\n\nIdentify opportunities to improve build instructions, tooling, and assembly processes.\n\nManage assigned work efficiently, communicate progress and blockers, and coordinate with the Production Coordinator to meet build deadlines.\n\nMaintain an organized work area and support the training and development of junior technicians.\n\nOccasionally support field deployments (if interested), hardware upgrades, and service work.\n\nWhat You’ll Need\n2+ years of hands-on experience in manufacturing, mechanical or electromechanical assembly, robotics, automation, or a similar environment.\n\nStrong mechanical aptitude and proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and torque wrenches.\n\nAbility to independently read and interpret mechanical drawings, part diagrams, BOMs, and build instructions.\n\nExperience with electrical assembly, wire stripping, crimping, connectors, and multimeter use.\n\nFamiliarity with quality standards and the importance of accurate, repeatable assembly.\n\nStrong attention to detail, time management, and ability to balance build quality with production deadlines.\n\nAbility to work independently, manage competing priorities, and maintain a consistent pace with limited supervision.\n\nAdaptability in a fast-paced environment where designs, instructions, and production priorities can change.\n\nDependability, initiative, and willingness to support teammates and share technical knowledge.\n\nRequired Technical Experience\nMechanical, electrical, or electromechanical assembly.\n\nHand tools, power tools, torque wrenches, and basic assembly practices.\n\nWire stripping, crimping, connector assembly, and basic electrical troubleshooting.\n\nReading technical drawings, BOMs, and detailed work instructions.\n\nFamiliarity with IPC/WHMA-A-620 wire harness standards or willingness to learn and apply them.\n\nPreferred Experience\nIndustrial crimping tools, D-sub connectors, and circular connectors.\n\nLow-voltage electrical systems and multimeter-based troubleshooting.\n\nExperience with motors, actuators, or other electromechanical assemblies.\n\nManufacturing, robotics, automation, or hardware integration.\n\nBasic Linux command line, Python, or hardware testing.\n\nField deployments, equipment installation, or preventive maintenance.\n\nWhat Success Looks Like\nSuccessful mid-level technicians consistently produce high-quality work while maintaining the pace required in a growing production environment. They can independently complete assigned builds, follow documentation closely, manage their time, and identify problems before they become larger production issues.\nAs Poseidon continues to evolve, technicians must adapt to engineering changes while maintaining build quality and communicating discrepancies early.
