You'll work hands-on with our IT lead to support a fast-moving robotics team, keep people productive and help protect company data.\nThis isn't a shadow-only internship. From your first weeks you'll own real tickets, set up real laptops and help build the processes that keep our accounts, network and office secure. You'll report to the IT lead and work alongside our managed IT partner.\nWhat you'll do\nHelp desk and end-user support\nAnswer and resolve IT requests from employees in person and over Slack\n\nTroubleshoot accounts, passwords, multi-factor authentication, email, calendars and shared drives\n\nDiagnose and fix issues on macOS and Windows laptops, monitors, docks and printers\n\nEscalate complex issues to the IT lead or our managed IT partner, with clear notes\n\nOnboarding and offboarding\nSet up accounts, groups and app access for new hires, and prepare their laptops and desks before day one\n\nWalk new employees through their IT setup and security basics\n\nRemove access completely and on time when people leave, and collect and wipe their equipment\n\nKeep onboarding and offboarding checklists accurate and up to date\n\nNetwork and physical security\nHelp maintain the office network: Wi-Fi, switches and access points\n\nHelp manage door access badges and permissions, and keep security cameras working\n\nSpot and report network or connectivity issues before they slow people down\n\nSecurity and compliance\nTag and track every company device in the hardware inventory\n\nHelp with regular reviews of who has access to which systems\n\nSupport security awareness training and follow-ups\n\nFollow strict data confidentiality practices in everything you touch\n\nDocumentation\nWrite clear how-to guides and troubleshooting articles for our internal knowledge base\n\nTurn repeat tickets into self-service fixes\n\nTools you'll work with\nYou don't need to know these already. We'll train you on everything.\nGoogle Workspace: Gmail, Calendar, Drive, groups and the Admin console\n\nSlack: company chat and IT support requests\n\nFreshservice: IT ticketing, asset tracking and the knowledge base\n\nAdaptive: security awareness training\n\nmacOS and Windows laptops and peripherals\n\nBusiness network equipment, door access and camera systems\n\nSingle sign-on (SSO), multi-factor authentication and VPN tools\n\nHR, project-management and engineering software used across the company\n\nWhat you'll need\nRequired\nBasic troubleshooting skills on macOS or Windows\n\nClear, patient communication with non-technical people\n\nStrong attention to detail, and good judgment when handling confidential information\n\nAble to work on site in El Segundo and lift up to 25 lbs (laptops, monitors, network gear)\n\nNice to have\nHands-on experience from a help desk job, campus IT, a home lab or personal projects\n\nFamiliarity with Google Workspace administration\n\nBasic networking knowledge (IP addressing, DNS, DHCP, Wi-Fi)\n\nProgress toward a certification such as CompTIA A+, Network+, Security+ or Google IT Support\n\nInterest in security, identity and access management, or IT for hardware and robotics
