As a Facilities Technician, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our warehouse facility. You will be responsible for performing preventive maintenance, troubleshooting equipment issues, and conducting repairs to minimize downtime and maximize productivity. Your expertise in mechanical and electrical systems, along with your ability to work independently and collaboratively, will be instrumental in maintaining a well-functioning warehouse environment.\nPerform routine inspections, preventive maintenance tasks, and repairs on warehouse equipment, including conveyor systems, forklifts, packaging machines, and other mechanical and electrical systems.\nRespond promptly to equipment breakdowns, troubleshoot issues, and implement effective solutions to minimize downtime and productivity loss.\nConduct regular maintenance checks to ensure compliance with safety regulations and identify potential hazards or risks.\nCollaborate with warehouse operations and logistics teams to schedule maintenance activities, prioritize work orders, and coordinate equipment availability.\nMaintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including equipment repairs, parts replacement, and maintenance schedules.\nSource and procure necessary parts, tools, and supplies for maintenance and repairs, ensuring adequate inventory levels are maintained.\nAssist in the installation and commissioning of new equipment and machinery, following manufacturer's guidelines and safety protocols.\nConduct training sessions for warehouse staff on equipment operation, maintenance best practices, and safety procedures.\nStay updated on industry trends, technological advancements, and best practices in warehouse maintenance and equipment repair.\nAdhere to company policies, safety standards, and regulatory requirements in all maintenance activities.\nQualifications and Skills:\nHigh school diploma or equivalent. Technical certification or vocational training in maintenance, electrical, or mechanical fields is preferred.\nProven experience (3+ years) as a Maintenance Technician or similar role in a warehouse or industrial setting.\nStrong knowledge of mechanical systems, electrical circuits, and industrial equipment, including conveyors, motors, pumps, and hydraulic systems.\nProficiency in diagnosing and troubleshooting equipment malfunctions, utilizing appropriate tools and diagnostic equipment.\nExperience with preventive maintenance programs, work order systems, and computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS).\nAbility to read and interpret equipment manuals, schematics, and technical drawings.\nBasic knowledge of safety protocols and regulations related to warehouse operations and equipment maintenance.\nExcellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.\nStrong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively as part of a team and communicate technical information to non-technical personnel.\nPhysical stamina and dexterity to perform manual labor and lift heavy objects as required.\nFlexibility to work shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as needed.\nAbout ShipMonk\nShipMonk isn't just a 3PL; we're a growth partner for merchants.
