Deliver Great Outcomes. \nAbout the role\nAs an Associate Database Engineer (DBE), you will support the maintenance, monitoring, and optimization of the organization's relational database systems. Working alongside experienced engineers, you will help ensure the integrity, availability, security, and performance of critical data that supports business operations. You will collaborate with IT teams and developers to troubleshoot database issues, perform routine maintenance, and contribute to database improvements. This role offers an opportunity to develop practical skills in PostgreSQL and SQL Server database management systems hosted in AWS, particularly Amazon RDS. The ideal candidate will have a basic understanding of relational databases, good problem-solving skills, and a willingness to learn and grow in a collaborative engineering environment.\nThis is an Associate level role. The salary is up to 11K PLN gross per month\nWhat will you be doing?\nAssist in developing and maintaining database schemas, tables, and indexes while following established standards and best practices.\nSupport database security measures, including user access management, permissions, and data protection.\nMonitor database health and performance using existing monitoring tools. Identify potential issues, analyze basic performance metrics, and escalate complex problems to experienced engineers.\nAssist in troubleshooting database issues such as slow queries, database locks, and resource contention under the guidance of senior team members.\nSupport database performance optimization through basic query tuning, index maintenance, and analysis of query execution plans.\nWrite, maintain, and troubleshoot SQL queries and stored procedures to efficiently retrieve and manipulate data.\nAssist in configuring and maintaining database replication, high availability, and failover mechanisms to ensure data availability and reliability.\nParticipate in code reviews to learn and apply database best practices, performance guidelines, and data access patterns.\nCollaborate with software developers to understand application requirements and support database schema design and development activities.\nWork with application developers to identify and resolve database-related issues, including inefficient queries and data access patterns.\nPerform routine database maintenance tasks, including monitoring database health, reviewing logs, and supporting scheduled maintenance activities.\nAssist in performing regular database backups, restore testing, and disaster recovery procedures to ensure data availability and integrity.\nSupport incident investigation and resolution by following established operational procedures and working closely with experienced engineers.\nMaintain database documentation, follow established processes, and contribute to improving operational procedures and technical runbooks.\nStay up to date with database technologies, trends, and best practices through self-study, training\nWhat are we looking for?\nBasic knowledge of SQL, with familiarity with PL/pgSQL or T-SQL and a willingness to develop practical skills in database programming.\nBasic understanding of database design principles, including normalization, indexing, and data modeling.\nFamiliarity with database security concepts, including user authentication, access controls, encryption, and auditing.\nBasic understanding of relational database management systems, particularly PostgreSQL or Microsoft SQL Server.\nBasic knowledge of AWS cloud services, with familiarity with Amazon RDS considered an advantage.\nUnderstanding of database backup, recovery, and high availability concepts.\nBasic troubleshooting and problem-solving skills, with the ability to investigate technical issues and seek guidance when needed.\nWillingness to learn new technologies, follow established best practices, and develop database administration and optimization skills.\nGood communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively as part of an engineering team.\nCommunicative level of English.\nTech stack\nPostgreSQL\nMS SQL\nAmazon Web Services\nC# .Net\nWhat do we offer?\nHybrid Framework - The best of both worlds!
