skills.\nWe will not consider candidates who require sponsorship or relocation.\nResponsibilities:\nAct as the single point of contact to resolve tool-related problems in manufacturing\nCoordinate with the plant to resolve safety, quality, throughput, or cost issues related to tooling\nGenerate and implement cost savings ideas to reduce tool and manufacturing costs\nManage weekly tooling spend against a variable piece cost budget\nPerform and document tool trials and adhere to customer tool test procedures\nRevise and update tool drawings and documentation as required\nDevelop new systems to recondition and re-use tooling when economically feasible\nAttend regularly scheduled operations and team problem-solving meetings\nAssist team in resolving machining and tooling-related issues relating to costs, scrap rates, and low production rates\nSupport cross-functional teams to achieve overall plant metrics\nRecommend optimized machining processes and cutting parameters\nIntroduce new technology and improved tooling designs\nProvide year-over-year cost per Piece reduction plans\nCoordinate with the preset team on proper tool setup techniques\nMaintain PFEP and use PFEP and Top Spend Data to initiate savings projects\nComplete required cost savings and tool test documentation\nReport and document non-conformances, CARs, and continuous improvements\nMaintain safety and good housekeeping standards for the site\nMake decisions within the limits of general standards or procedures\nReport near misses and incidents to the site manager and cooperate with investigations\nOther duties as assigned\nRequirements\n5 years of experience working in production machining, a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, or experience working in a closely related technical field is preferred\nPrior experience designing and tooling parts in a manufacturing environment\nStrong math and problem-solving skills and ability to read blueprints and schematics\nProficiency with computers\nAble to work with little to no supervision and ability to multitask\nStrong interpersonal, leadership, and organizational skills\nGood written and oral communication skills, computer and
