As we continue to invest in the ANZ region, we’re seeking a driven individual to help expand our footprint and accelerate growth in this critical market.\nSummary:\nShoals Technologies Group is seeking a Sales Applications Engineer to support the deployment of our EBOS products across utility-scale and mining solar PV and energy storage projects in the Pacific region. This full-time hybrid role is based in Sydney, NSW, with flexibility for remote work. You’ll collaborate closely with our sales, product engineering, and integration teams to deliver tailored technical solutions that meet customer requirements and comply with local standards. Your day-to-day will involve providing hands-on technical support, guiding customers through solution design, and helping shape proposals that reflect Shoals’ commitment to innovation and reliability.\nPosition Accountabilities:\nDevelop in-depth knowledge of Shoals’ current and future solutions for Solar PV and Energy Storage applications, including pre-terminated wiring, standard/custom wiring harnesses, electrical distribution enclosures, and other eBOS products.\nEngage with customers, EPCs, developers, product managers, project managers, and engineers to understand project requirements, assess needs, and determine customer specifications.\nDiscuss customer applications, present Shoals’ technical solutions, explain value propositions and costing, and review drawings to recommend optimal configurations.\nSupport Sales in preparing quotes by developing bills of materials (BOMs) and system layouts, incorporating Shoals solutions, partner offerings, and identifying options for missing elements.\nPrepare and deliver technical presentations to existing and prospective customers.\nInterface with Product Line Management to stay current on Shoals products, gather and relay Voice of Customer feedback, and support new product development.\nRecommend improved deployment methods versus traditional approaches, demonstrating how changes can reduce installed costs.\nPropose system and process improvements to streamline bid preparation and response timelines.\nSupport other New Markets product lines, including BESS solutions and Solar OEM, by evaluating and proposing solution options.\nEnsure all solutions comply with AS/NZS electrical codes and standards.\nQualifications\nBachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, or related field.\n5+ years of experience in solar or energy storage applications engineering.\nFamiliarity with EBOS components, electrical distribution enclosures, AC and DC power systems engineering design.\nStrong communication and presentation skills.\nAbility to interpret technical drawings and specifications.\nExperience working with EPCs, developers, and O&M teams.\nKnowledge of Australian energy market and regulatory environment.\nExperience with AutoCAD or similar design tools.\nUnderstanding of solar module, inverter, and tracker integration.\nAbility to manage multiple projects and priorities.\nWhy Join Shoals?\nBe part of a global clean energy leader.\nWork on high-impact projects across Australia and the Pacific.\nCollaborate with a fast-growing team that values innovation, sustainability, and excellence.\nAccess to cutting-edge technology and engineering support \nShoals Technologies Group, LLC provides equal employment opportunities to all employees and applicants for employment and prohibits discrimination and harassment of any type without regard to race, color, religion, age, sex, national origin, disability status, genetics, protected veteran status, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, or any other characteristic protected by federal, state or local laws.
