We are continuing to transform the business, and in doing so, are looking for highly talented people to join our team.\n\nThe purpose of the Rainmaker Accountant role is to ensure accurate financial records, deliver reliable financial information on time, maintain strong financial controls, support audits and compliance requirements, and provide meaningful financial insights that assist management in making informed business decisions. Key responsibilities encompass budgeting, financial reporting, Intercompany process, assessing financial trends to support strategic decision-making and assisting with the annual audit and Financial Statements for Rainmaker.\nWhat you'll do\nResponsible for the monthly preparation and processing of intergroup transactions.\nMonthly completion of intercompany schedules for Group Consolidation purposes.\nEnsure the effective and timeous production of monthly management accounts for the Rainmaker management team.\nAnnual budgets and forecasts.\nMonth-end and year-end close processes.\nEnsure continuous improvement of reporting to ensure that management has timeous, accurate and value-adding information to assist in decision-making.\nMonthly profitability analysis per channel and investigating anomalies with the team leads.\nAssisting in the preparation of financial statements at year end and assisting with audit queries.\nEnsure effective cost management and analysis of financial information.\nReview & complete monthly P&L and monitor variances to budget.\nPreparation of ECL provision.\nMonthly completion of schedules for Group Consolidation purposes.\nProviding insights into Rainmaker’s financial performance and assisting Rainmaker management team with preparation of divisional meeting information.\nAssisting sales and insights team with client spend analysis.\nAssist with vendor onboarding process.\nVoucher order approvals.\nWhat you'll bring\nAccounting degree (SAIPA, SAICA, CIMA) advantageous.\n+2 years’ experience in relevant role.\nSAP experience - (essential).\nKey competencies and work ethic\nSolid knowledge of accounting standards.\nAbility to analyse financial data and generate accurate reports.\nProblem solving skills.\nStrong time-management abilities.\nAdvanced knowledge of MS Excel.\nAbility to handle pressure, take ownership and accountability and drive good commercial outcomes.\nExcellent written and verbal communication skills.\nHigh level of personal integrity, as well as the ability to professionally handle confidential matters.\nOur Group and all its operating companies is committed to creating, embracing, and preserving a diverse workplace that values the unique talents, perspectives, backgrounds, and abilities that enrich our organisation.
