This role monitors network availability, logs and updates incidents, supports first-line troubleshooting and escalates complex or recurring issues to senior engineers where required. The role works closely with senior network engineers, vendors and internal support teams to ensure network services are maintained in line with agreed service levels and operational standards.\nWhat you'll do\nNetwork monitoring and support:\nMonitor network equipment, links and services using approved monitoring tools and escalate alerts or recurring issues to senior engineers where required. \nSupport the investigation of network and voice incidents by gathering information, checking device status and performing first-line troubleshooting steps. \nLog monitoring information, incident details and operational updates accurately to support resolution and reporting. \nAssist with basic configuration checks, pre-build activities and post-installation validation under guidance. \nIncident management:\nProvide technical support for assigned network incidents in line with support procedures, service level expectations and escalation guidelines. \nCapture, update and close incident records accurately, including actions taken, troubleshooting steps and resolution details. \nEscalate complex or recurring incidents to senior engineers with clear supporting information and evidence. \nSupportusers and internal teams by providing clear feedback on incident progress and resolution steps. \nVendor and change support:\nAssist vendors and internal teams with installations, maintenance activities, upgrades and incident investigations. \nSupport standard network changes by preparing information, updating records and completing assigned implementation or validation tasks. \nFollow approved change, incident and operational processes to minimise service disruption. \nMaintain accurate network documentation, site information and operational checklists. \nWhat you bring\nAn IT qualification such as computer networking, electronics, information systems or a related field - (desirable). \nFoundational network certification such as Cisco CCNA or equivalent - (desirable). \n+3 years experience in network support, IT operations, service desk, field support or a similar technical infrastructure environment - (essential). \nPractical exposure to LAN, WAN, TCP/IP, VLANs, routing, switching, network cabling, VoIP and related network technologies - (essential). \nExperience using ticketing, monitoring or IT service management tools to log, track and update incidents -
