Heavy duty repair shop management software. Work orders, technician tracking, parts inventory, invoicing, and reporting in one platform. Try ShopView free.

About ShopView

ShopView is a fast-growing software company helping independent heavy-duty truck and trailer repair shops run their businesses more effectively.

Our platform streamlines daily operations - from work orders and parts management to invoicing and analytics - giving shop owners clarity and control over how their business runs.

We build software for people who work with their hands, manage complex operations, and don’t have time for complicated systems. Our goal is to create products that feel simple, powerful, and deeply aligned with how these businesses actually operate.

We move quickly, learn directly from users, and continuously evolve the product as we better understand the problems our customers face.

About the role

We’re looking for a thoughtful, product-minded Product Manager to own a core domain of the ShopView platform.

This is a high-impact role where you will deeply understand our users, shape product direction, and translate complex operational problems into intuitive software solutions.

You’ll work directly with the Head of Product to drive discovery, strategy, and execution. Along the way you’ll collaborate closely with engineering and QA to bring ideas to life, while also gaining exposure to company founders and leadership as we evolve the product.

We value product managers who think like product designers - people who obsess over understanding users, craft clear narratives around problems and solutions, and iterate toward elegant outcomes.

If you enjoy turning messy real-world workflows into well-designed software, you’ll thrive here.

What You’ll Do

  • Own a product domain. Take full responsibility for a meaningful part of the platform - understanding the problems deeply and shaping how the product evolves.

  • Develop deep user empathy. Spend time understanding how our customers work, the constraints they operate under, and the real-world challenges they face. Translate these insights into thoughtful product solutions.

  • Lead the product lifecycle. Drive ideas from early discovery through validation, delivery, adoption, and iteration.

  • Prototype and explore ideas quickly. Use sketches, lightweight mockups, or simple prototypes to explore solutions and communicate ideas.

  • Learn from user behavior. Use interviews, observation, product analytics, and feedback to understand how people actually use the product and where improvements can make the biggest difference.

  • Collaborate deeply with engineering. Work daily with engineers and QA to refine ideas, make thoughtful tradeoffs, and deliver high-quality product experiences.

  • Build products you’re proud of. Care deeply about the details and the overall experience we deliver to customers.

  • Explore emerging tools and technologies. Stay curious about new tools - including AI - and how they might enable better products or new ways of working.

Requirements

  • 5+ years in product-related roles, with at least 3 years as a Product Manager in a software company.

  • Strong product intuition and design sensibility. You care about how products feel to use - not just whether they function.

  • Analytical thinking. You use data, observation, and structured thinking to inform decisions.

  • Technical communication. You’re comfortable discussing product ideas with engineers and understanding system constraints.

  • Self-driven and organized. You take initiative, manage ambiguity well, and can drive projects forward without constant direction.

  • Execution-focused. You turn ideas into shipped product improvements and measurable outcomes.

  • Strong communication and storytelling. You can clearly explain problems, ideas, and solutions to both technical and non-technical audiences.

  • AI literate and curious. You’re interested in how emerging AI capabilities may change how products are built or experienced.

Nice-to-Haves

  • Experience working on B2B or SaaS products

  • Familiarity with business operations systems (ERP, CRM, scheduling, inventory, payments)

  • Experience in operations-heavy industries such as automotive, logistics, field services, or repair

  • Comfort rapidly prototyping ideas using sketches, mockups, or lightweight design tools

  • Understanding of backend systems, APIs, or data models

  • Experience researching user behaviors, workflows, and preferences

Why Join ShopView

  • Make a real impact. Your work will directly affect how real businesses operate every day.

  • Build meaningful product ownership. You’ll own a product area end-to-end and see your ideas come to life in production.

  • Work closely with product leadership. You’ll collaborate directly with the Head of Product while gaining visibility with founders and company leadership.

  • Move fast and learn quickly. We value initiative, clear thinking, and continuous improvement.

  • Shape a growing platform. As ShopView scales, the product and the problems we solve will continue to evolve.
