Start your employee owner journey with Shorr Packaging.\nThe Business Data Analyst Intern will support data-driven decision-making by assisting in the collection, processing, and analysis of business data. Working under the Data Analytics team, the intern will help identify use cases, create reports and dashboards, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to transform data using AWS and other analytics tools.\nResponsibilities\nData Visualization & Stakeholder Engagement\nCollaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and translate data into actionable insights.\nDesign and build interactive dashboards and reports using AWS QuickSight, leveraging AWS-hosted datasets.\nPresent data insights and recommendations to stakeholders clearly and effectively.\nMaintain dashboards, reports and visualization to communicate findings.\nData Analysis & Reporting Automation\nDevelop and maintain automated reporting processes to support self- service analytics.\nConduct exploratory data analysis to identify patterns and trends in AWS-hosted datasets. \nWork with data engineers and stakeholders to define KPIs and establish data models.\nMonitor data quality, integrity and report/dashboard adoption.\nPartner with the QuickSight Center of Excellent (COE) to uphold data governance standards.\nDocument development work, including business requirements, design notes and process flows.\nStay current with industry trends, AWS technologies and data analytics best practices. \nParticipate in feedback and presentation sessions to showcase growth and contributions.\nRequirements\nCurrent Juniors or Seniors pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in IT, data analytics or a related program\nExposure and interest in data analysis or a similar analytical role, with some basic knowledge of concepts in this area of IT.\nGeneral knowledge and entry-level proficiency in SQL, AWS or other data analysis technologies and concepts.\nExposure and interest in AWS QuickSight or similar data visualization platform in design, development and implementation. \nStrong analytical and problem-solving skills to enable the translation of complex data into actionable insights.\nFamiliarity with data visualization tools and frameworks\nStrong communication and collaboration skills with the ability to interact effectively with cross-functional teams. \nThis temporary position is not benefits eligible.\nCompensation\nThe base pay range for this role is $19 -
