Start your employee owner journey with Shorr Packaging.\nAs a Warehouse Operator, you will be responsible for operating powered equipment for the purpose of moving, locating, stacking, and counting product in the warehouse to serve our customers with their custom packaging solutions.\nResponsibilities\nFill customer orders, work orders, shipping orders, or requisitions to determine items to be moved, gathered, or distributed\nPrepare proper shipping documents\nMove inventory materials and items from receiving or production areas to storage or to other designated areas\nRecord amounts of materials or items received or distributed\nOpen bales, crates, and other containers\nMaintain warehouse equipment\nAssist with any secondary warehouse duties: receiving, put away, shipping, and assembly\nKeep warehouse area clean including sweeping the floors and picking up loose materials\nOther duties as requested\nRequirements\nHigh school diploma or general education degree (GED).\n1-3 related experience and/or training as a warehouse operator; or equivalent combination of education and experience\nExperience with RF Scanners and Warehouse Management System (WMS) preferred\nProficient reading and writing skills and ability to follow directions\nForklift certification preferred\nPhysical Demands:\nThe employee frequently is required to stand; walk; sit; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; and talk or hear. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, and depth perception. The employee must lift, slide and/or move up to 100 pounds of material from pallet to pallet and lift up to 20 pounds 72 inches from the floor.\nWork Environment:\nOur facilities are in state-of-the-art climate-controlled buildings. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts. The employee is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles.
