You’ll own the technical relationship with our API partners, from their first technical evaluation through implementation and ongoing support.\nReporting directly to the CRO, you’ll be the first dedicated post-sales professional at Shout About Us, responsible for making sure our biggest customers deploy, expand, and stay. Our ICP is founders, product teams, and engineering teams. \nThis is a hands-on role. On any given day, you might join a prospect’s technical discovery call, troubleshoot an API request with a partner engineer, coordinate a fix with our engineering team, or improve a quickstart guide. You’ll also help build the documentation and processes that make each new integration easier than the last.\nLocation and hours\nRemote, anywhere. Our standard working hours are Monday–Friday, 8 a.m.–5 p.m. US Eastern Time, including a lunch break. Occasional calls outside these hours are required for APAC partners and key implementation milestones.\nWhat you’ll do\nOwn a portfolio of 10-15 strategic accounts. Be the primary technical contact for API partners, keep stakeholders informed, and follow issues through to resolution.\n\nSupport technical evaluations. Join sales calls, demonstrate API capabilities, understand the partner’s requirements, and explain how an integration would work.\n\nLead partner implementations. Turn requirements into a clear integration plan, guide developers through setup and testing, and track progress through launch.\n\nTroubleshoot directly. Investigate requests, responses, logs, authentication issues, and integration behavior before escalating to engineering.\n\nWork closely with engineering. Provide clear reproduction steps, relevant evidence, and customer impact when an issue needs deeper investigation.\n\nImprove the developer experience. Create and maintain API guides, Postman collections, code examples, FAQs, and onboarding playbooks.\n\nIdentify recurring friction. Share partner feedback and integration patterns that can inform product improvements.\n\nLead expansion efforts. Cross-sell new features and products as a natural extension of the relationship, not a separate motion. \n\nWhat we’re looking for\n4+ years in a customer-facing technical role or equivalent at an API-first or dev-tools company\n\nStrong practical understanding of REST APIs, HTTP, JSON, authentication, webhooks, pagination, and rate limits.\n\nComfort using Postman or curl, reading logs, and writing or adapting small code examples in a language such as JavaScript or Python.\n\nExperience driving adoption inside complex orgs: navigating the gap between the buyer who signed and the team that deploys\n\nStrong follow-through. You keep track of open questions, set expectations, and make sure customers know what happens next.\n\nStartup experience at a company under 50 people. There's no support team behind you.\n\nClear written and spoken English.
