You’ll work across the stack, contributing to customer-facing product experiences, APIs, backend systems, data models, and the infrastructure that supports them. Our environment includes technologies such as React, TypeScript, and Next.json the frontend, alongside Django-powered backend services and the broader platform infrastructure that supports our products at scale.\nWe’re looking for someone with strong technical fundamentals, good judgement, and a bias for action. You should be comfortable asking questions, challenging assumptions, and proposing better ways to solve problems.\nThis is a great role for either a strong intermediate developer ready to grow into senior-level impact, or a senior developer who wants ownership, speed, and product influence.\nWhat You’ll Do:\nBuild and ship full-stack features from idea to production\nBuild polished, reliable product experiences across the stack using React, TypeScript, Next.js, and Django\nDesign, build, and improve APIs and backend workflows\nWork with PostgreSQL and help evolve our data models\nBuild tools that help event organizers manage, grow, and improve their events\nImprove the attendee experience from discovery to checkout to event entry\nDebug production issues and strengthen the reliability of our systems\nWork closely with product, design, support, and engineering leadership\nUse modern development tools, including AI-assisted workflows, to improve speed and quality\nChallenge assumptions, identify better solutions, and take ownership of outcomes\nWhat Makes Someone Successful Here:\nCare about the customer impact of what you’re building\nLike owning problems, not just completing assigned tickets\nCan work through ambiguity and make thoughtful technical decisions\nMove quickly while still caring about quality\nHave strong fullstack product instincts\nEnjoys working with and supporting their team members in-office\nAre comfortable working across the stack\nKnow when to ask for help and when to make a decision\nUse tools thoughtfully, but do not rely on them as a substitute for understanding\nWant to keep getting better as an engineer\nWhat You Bring:\n4+ years of software development experience\nexperience building modern frontend applications using React, Vue, or a similar framework\nBackend development experience, ideally with Python/Django or similar frameworks\nExperience designing, consuming, and debugging APIs\nExperience with PostgreSQL or another relational database\nStrong problem-solving skills and sound engineering judgement\nComfort working in a fast-moving environment\nA self-starter mindset and a strong sense of ownership\nInterest in using modern tools and workflows to become more effective\nNice to Have:\nStrong React + TypeScript experience\nExperience with high-traffic, transactional, or event-driven systems\nBackground jobs, queues, Celery, Redis, or similar tools\nCloud experience, especially GCP\nObservability tools such as Sentry, Datadog, or similar\nExperience building or integrating AI-powered product features\nExperience in ticketing, payments, marketplaces, live events, or commerce\nWhy Join Showpass\nOur work is grounded in our core values (GUAC).
