Please click here to learn more about our locations.\nCURRENT EMPLOYEES: Please log into Workday Click Here to apply internally through the \"Jobs Hub\"\nJob Description\nThe Motion Analysis Center (MAC) Engineer is primarily responsible for the operation and maintenance of motion capture equipment, as well as data acquisition and processing of clinical and research based motion capture data. This position works as part of the Shriners Children's Motion Analysis Center, supporting clinical care and research initiatives.\nKey Responsibilities:\nUnder the direction of the system MAC engineer, the MAC engineer obtains and maintains CMLA accreditation.\nMaintains competency in equipment calibration, collection of the raw data, processing of data and report generation.\nPerforms regular consistency, accuracy and quality assurance tests on all lab equipment and software\nPerforms data collection for research projects and clinical care at the local facility.\nPreforms data processing, data management and clinical report generation for local and system facilities.\nAssist with department scheduling as needed.\nIn a timely manner, generates concise and clearly organized motion evaluations\nAssist system MAC Engineer and Development Specialist with the development and integration of new clinical programs.\nDemonstrates knowledge in basic coding to develop models, and/or process/store/retrieve data.\nAssists the system MAC Engineer in developing new technologies that quantify motion for children with and without disabilities.\nManages local data collection, storage and retrieval for clinical care and research.\nProvides orientation and training to new therapists, technicians, students and volunteers to ensure proper use of equipment, accurate data collection and processing with output consistent with lab protocol.\nFunctions as a role model within the healthcare team, promoting a positive, organized and safe work environment based on open communication.\nAssists the system MAC Engineer in research and quality improvement projects that improve quality of care, and lab efficiency.\nParticipates in research and quality improvement projects\nParticipates in departmental educational opportunities such as in services, journal clubs, and annual mandatory competencies.\nRequired Qualifications\nB.S. in Biomedical or Mechanical Engineering, Kinesiology, or related field\nMinimum 2 years of motion analysis and/or biomechanics experience\nMinimum 2 years of programming experience (Python, MATLAB)\nPreferred Qualifications\nM.S. or higher preferred in Biomedical or Mechanical Engineering, Kinesiology, or related field\n2+ years of motion analysis and/or biomechanics experience\n2+ years of programming experience (Python)\nDatabase management and querying (SQL, GraphQL)\nFamiliarity with Vicon motion capture system\nThe pay range for this position is $84,676.80 -
