Job Description
Job Summary
The Performance Improvement / Infection Control Coordinator is responsible for coordinating, developing, implementing, and evaluating comprehensive performance improvement and infection prevention and control programs to ensure high-quality, safe patient care and compliance with regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities
Develops policies/procedures in conjunction with SCSC Pasadena ICC and monitors compliance with established policies and procedures; can extrapolate policies and procedures to unique situations.
Develops policies/procedures in conjunction with SCSC Pasadena ICC and monitors compliance with established policies and procedures; can extrapolate policies and procedures to unique situations.
Communicates and updates hospital staff on current infection control data as necessary.
Reviews professional literature/guidelines (HICPAC, CDC, APIC, The joint Commission, OSHA, Pasadena Public Health Department, and others
Reviews microbiology reports and reports unusual occurrences.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor In Healthcare
Preferred Qualifications
2 years in Performance Improvement
CPHG/AIPC Certification
Registered Nurse and /or Epidemiology Experience
