Applications will be collected, reviewed, and selected candidates will be contacted in late fall/early winter.\nThe AI Engineer Intern will assist in designing and building enterprise AI solutions - including AI agents, AI-powered web applications, automated AI workflows, and retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) systems - that help teams across Shure work smarter. The intern will work alongside our cloud and generative AI delivery teams, gaining hands-on experience taking AI solutions from prototype to production on a modern cloud stack.\nThis internship will be Hybrid in Niles, IL.\nResponsibilities\nAssist in designing, building, and testing AI agents and agentic workflows using frameworks and services such as AWS Bedrock, Strands, and the Model Context Protocol (MCP) \nDevelop and prototype AI-powered web applications and internal productivity tools \nBuild and evaluate RAG pipelines, including data ingestion, embedding, retrieval, and quality evaluation \nIntegrate large language models (LLMs) with enterprise data sources, APIs, and business systems \nSupport prompt engineering, solution testing, and systematic evaluation of AI outputs \nWrite clean, well-documented code and participate in code reviews and design discussions \nCollaborate with cross-functional partners to gather requirements and translate business needs into technical solutions \nQualifications\nIn-process of a Bachelor's or Advanced degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Data Science, Artificial Intelligence/Machine Learning, or a related discipline \nProficiency in Python (experience with JavaScript/TypeScript is a plus) \nFamiliarity with LLMs, generative AI concepts, or prompt engineering \nExposure to RAG, vector databases, or embeddings is a plus \nUnderstanding of REST APIs and integrating third-party services \nExperience with a cloud platform (AWS or Azure) is a plus \nStrong problem-solving skills and attention to detail \nSelf-motivated with strong written and verbal communication skills, comfortable working in a collaborative, hybrid team environment \nApplicants for this position must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.
