The twelve-week program is offered to undergraduate and graduate students. We offer internships with a variety of work arrangements from onsite interns to fully remote in US. Each intern will receive a competitive salary. Additionally, Interns who are asked to relocate to Illinois for onsite internships will receive a housing stipend to cover living expenses. Applications will be collected, reviewed, and selected candidates will be contacted in late fall/early winter.\nThe Cost Accounting Intern will assist with fiscal year-end activities and month end closings. These activities will involve the intern to perform variance analysis, account reconciliations, The intern will assist in reviewing Shure’s standard costs and updating transfer prices for the new fiscal year.\nThis Internship is Hybrid in Niles, IL.\nResponsibilities\nComplete account reconciliations\nAssist in generating schedules for the fiscal year end audit\nReview actual to budget results and provide explanations on variances\nAssist in setting standard product costs and analyzing changes\nUpdate transfer prices in SAP\nAssist with cost modeling and make / buy decisions\nQualifications\nIn-process of a bachelor’s or advanced degree in accounting or related field\nHighly organized and willing to learn end-to-end process improvement skills\nAble to follow standard instructions, practices and procedures\nSelf-motivated, team player, detail oriented\nAble to meet required deadlines\nAbility to work independently with high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.\nGood Microsoft Office skills. Extensive knowledge of Microsoft Excel, SharePoint.\nGood verbal and written communication skills.\nApplicants for this position must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.
