As a Cloud Application Software Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining cloud-based applications and services. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver innovative solutions and ensure the highest level of performance, reliability, and scalability.\nResponsibilities\nLead a team of Cloud application development & support engineers.\nEducate & guide the team on technical aspects of the architecture.\nDevelop POCs and Reference implementations to prove Architecture components.\nArchitect & design cloud applications focusing on AWS and demonstrate technical cloud architectural knowledge, playing a vital role in the design of cloud products running in 24×7 environments.\nParticipate in product planning, SRE, and release planning activities.\nWork with SRE to set up Cloud application support & observability tooling and site reliability process.\nDevelop and enforce quality standards and work with DevOps for tooling required to implement the standards.\nWork with SRE to Develop the application Run Books.\nWorking with development teams to ensure development is completed with adherence to development guidelines, focusing on continuous improvement.\nValidate the proposed component solution design is workable, Supportable, and Operable to meet the required service level.\nProblem Management - support root cause analysis of production issues P1-P4, work with AWS platform and application teams to address remediation.\nWork closely with applications, network, and infrastructure teams to ensure workable application architectures.\nProvide regular verbal and written communications regarding status, risks, and issues and makes recommendations for remediation or change\nWe have partnered with architects and product development teams to provide estimates with in architectural guidelines.Apply standards and research/share best practices.\nParticipate in roadmap reviews and feasibility assessments.\nApplication Ownership - Accountable for the availability, performance, capacity, and maintenance of the technology services in your portfolio\nPeople Leadership - Enabling our people for success through regular mentoring, development, and career conversations\nKnowledge transfer to the on-shore and off-shore teams\nResponsible for supporting process improvements to improve the stability and performance of the application platform\nQualifications\nExtensive technical experience either in infrastructure or production management.\n12+ years of experience in application architecture and 5 + years in Cloud application architecture and infrastructure management.\nHas Led Cloud software development team directly.\nStrong experience with Cloud platforms.
