Lead Engineer - GO

We are looking for a Lead Golang Engineer to design and build highly scalable, concurrent, and performance-critical backend systems. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience with Golang, distributed systems, microservices, concurrency, and high-throughput backend applications.

Experience building trading platforms, pricing engines, order management systems, execution systems, market-data platforms, or other low-latency financial systems will be highly preferred.

As a Lead Engineer, you will remain hands-on while also providing technical direction, mentoring engineers, reviewing architecture, and driving engineering best practices across the team.

Responsibilities:

• Lead the design, development, and architecture of backend systems primarily using Golang.
• Build scalable, high-throughput, and low-latency services using Go.
• Design and develop REST, gRPC, and event-driven microservices.
• Build highly concurrent applications using goroutines, channels, synchronization primitives, worker pools, and Go concurrency patterns.
• Design systems capable of processing large volumes of real-time requests, events, and transactions.
• Work on distributed systems where performance, reliability, fault tolerance, and scalability are critical.
• Contribute to the development of pricing, execution, trading, market data, or order-processing systems.
• Integrate with internal services, external APIs, exchanges, liquidity providers, or third-party platforms where required.
• Work with Kafka, RabbitMQ, or similar messaging/event-streaming technologies.
• Design and optimize relational and NoSQL data stores, caching layers, and data-access patterns.
• Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks across CPU, memory, networking, database, and application layers.
• Write clean, idiomatic, testable, and maintainable code Go code.
• Establish coding standards, engineering practices, and architectural guidelines.
• Conduct code reviews and mentor engineers on system design and Golang best practices.
• Participate in production deployments, troubleshooting, observability, and incident resolution.
• Collaborate closely with product, engineering, and business stakeholders to translate complex requirements into scalable technical solutions.

Requirements:

• 6+ years of overall software engineering experience, primarily in backend engineering.
• Strong hands-on experience building production systems using Golang.
• Deep understanding of Go fundamentals, including goroutines, channels, context, interfaces, error handling, synchronization, memory management, profiling, and performance optimization.
• Strong understanding of concurrency, parallelism, race conditions, locking, and thread-safe application design.
• Experience building high-performance APIs, microservices, and distributed systems.
• Strong understanding of system design, scalability, fault tolerance, resilience, and high availability.
• Experience with REST and/or gRPC.
• Experience with messaging and streaming technologies such as Kafka or RabbitMQ.
• Strong understanding of SQL databases, NoSQL systems, caching, indexing, and database optimization.
• Experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
• Experience working with AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Familiarity with CI/CD, automated testing, observability, logging, monitoring, and production debugging.
• Strong problem-solving, debugging, and performance optimization skills.
• Experience leading technical initiatives and mentoring engineers.
