You will work on systems where reliability, throughput, data quality, and scale matter—turning complex data requirements into robust platforms that support analytics, experimentation, and product experiences.\n\nResponsibilities: \nDesign and build scalable data-platform architecture across cloud environments, balancing performance, reliability, cost, and maintainability.\nDevelop and operate data warehousing solutions and dependable batch and streaming data pipelines.\nBuild and improve event-streaming systems that support high-volume, transaction-heavy product workloads.\nApply distributed data-processing technologies and orchestration tools to deliver resilient, observable workflows.\nWork across engineering and product stakeholders to translate business needs into clear technical designs and production-ready systems.\nDrive architectural decisions, troubleshoot complex platform issues, and improve data quality, performance, and operational reliability.\nContribute to experimentation capabilities and the data foundations needed to test, measure, and improve product outcomes.\n\nRequirements: \nStrong hands-on experience in data engineering, backend/platform engineering, or building large-scale data systems.\nDemonstrated expertise in data warehousing, data experimentation, and event streaming.\nRecent, hands-on experience building or scaling a data platform at a consumer-facing company with approximately 15-60 million users.\nExperience at this scale is essential.\nPractical experience with several of the following, or comparable technologies: Google Cloud Platform (GCP), Kubernetes, Apache Spark, Apache Airflow, and Terraform.\nAbility to reason about distributed systems, high-throughput data processing, platform reliability, scalability, and operational trade-offs.\nComfort working across cloud environments;
