The Engineer may also have the opportunity to participate in engineering analysis and design with other divisions of the company in nuclear, healthcare, dams and waterways, defense, and other industrial practice areas.\nPrimary Responsibilities:\nOversee full-scale shake table testing of equipment (including travel to labs)\nDevelop reports and documentation for IBC seismic and wind compliance\nReview product information provided by manufacturers and understand product variations\nSupport program managers with Client interactions\nEvaluate non-standard structural members and equipment components\nPerform structural analysis of equipment and other non-structural systems for wind and seismic loading\nDesign anchorage for non-structural components\nRequired Skills/Qualifications:\nBS in Civil, Structural, Mechanical or related engineering discipline from an ABET accredited university\nEngineer-in-Training (EIT) certification or ability to obtain within 6 months of hire\nDemonstrated academic or professional experience using hand calculations and/or structural analysis computer software to calculate demands and capacities of structural systems\nSelf-motivated and eager to learn\nExcellent written and oral communication skills\nWillingness and ability to travel (up to 20% of time)\nDesired:\nMS/MEng in Civil, Structural, Mechanical, or related engineering discipline from an ABET accredited university \nProficient in ANSYS, ABAQUS, SAP2000, LS-DYNA, Matlab, Mathcad, AutoCAD/Revit, Solidworks or other similar software\nComputer programming skills related to database construction and querying, signal processing, or task automation\nKnowledge of seismic analysis, code-based steel and concrete design, blast analysis, nonlinear structural analysis\nThe expected salary range for this role is $80,900 - $100,600 in Sacramento, CA; $80,000 - $98,400 in Denver, CO; and $72,500 - $90,700 in Atlanta, GA.
