Our expertise delivers results. Our optimism transforms outcomes.\n The role\nWe are looking for a Microsoft/Azure Stack Engineer to join our Data Science & AI team as a consultant. This is a client-facing role first: most of your time is spent on client engagements, designing and building Azure infrastructure and platform solutions, advising on cloud strategy, and representing Sia's technical delivery capability directly to the client. Alongside that, you will get hands-on with AI on the side of the business: building demos and proofs of concept on Azure AI Foundry that support new client opportunities, rather than running or maintaining an internal platform. If you want client exposure plus a genuine way to build AI skills on top of your infrastructure expertise, this is a team where that combination is real.\nWhat you will do\nWork directly with client teams and stakeholders as a consultant, explaining technical trade-offs and architecture decisions in plain language.\nDesign and implement Azure infrastructure, including networking, compute, storage, and identity components (Azure AD/Entra ID, VNets, App Services, AKS).\nBuild and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps or GitHub Actions to support infrastructure-as-code deployments (Terraform, Bicep, or ARM templates).\nManage and optimize Microsoft 365 and Azure governance, including security baselines, cost management, and compliance controls.\nBuild demos and proofs of concept on Azure AI Foundry to support business development and potential client work.\nTroubleshoot and resolve infrastructure issues across hybrid and cloud-native environments.\nAdvise clients on cloud migration strategy, landing zone design, and the Azure Well-Architected Framework.\nCollaborate with client IT teams, architects, and Sia consultants to deliver technical roadmaps and implementation plans.\nDocument architecture decisions, runbooks, and operational procedures.\nDepending on seniority, mentor junior engineers and contribute to internal capability building within the Azure and AI practice.\n What you bring\nComfortable working directly with clients as a consultant, and able to explain technical trade-offs in plain language.\nWilling and able to travel for client work (mostly within the Benelux).\n3+ years of hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure in a production environment.\nStrong knowledge of Azure core services: compute, networking, storage, identity, and security.\nExperience with infrastructure-as-code tools (Terraform, Bicep, or ARM templates).\nFamiliarity with Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, or comparable CI/CD tooling.\nWorking knowledge of Microsoft 365 administration and Entra ID/Azure AD.\nScripting proficiency in PowerShell, Python, or similar.\nInterest in or experience with Azure AI Foundry or building AI demos/proofs of concept is a strong plus.\nA relevant Microsoft certification (AZ-104, AZ-305, or AZ-400) is a plus.\nFluent in Dutch and English.\nFor senior candidates: experience leading architecture decisions on client-facing engagements and mentoring other engineers.\nWhat do we offer?\nCompetitive salary package, including annual salary increase, bonuses, and NS Business Card.\nTailored training and development opportunities to position you as an expert in your field. \nFlexible working arrangements (office, home, client sites) and international project exposure. \nCollaborative global environment fostering professional growth and knowledge sharing. \n Unfortunately, we are unable to provide a work permit for this position.\nSia is an equal opportunity employer.
